Had lunch buffet twice here during December'17.
A step down breakdown of my experience here both times.
At the entrance (0/5) : Rudeness personified. You got to get over this rudeness to get to the actual thing. The feel-of-a-cop person standing outside who let's you in has been tasked to make sure that you give up your plans of having meal there. Not sure why ? Would be interested in understanding this business tactic. May be I am so archaic in my understanding of business. Fine let's get over it.
Inside the restaurant (4/5) : it's a different feel and you would like the ambience. Though, they can improvize the pirateness further, but it's a good start.
Food (4/5) : The actual thing starts with starters getting served on the table on grill rods put on the small grill on table, with repeats. You will like it and it tastes good. CAVEAT: They may end up serving you starters with high on spice and chilli. Which implies that you will eat starters and end up having lots of water to neutralize it and eat less main course from buffet. So, nothing wrong here. Please decide what matters more for you. Starters, main course or both. And accordingly decide on either to have more repeats for starters.
Main course, I would say had good enough options ( not too many or not too less).
Sweet options for end : more than 10 varieties ranging from mini pastries, hot stuff (gajrella, dal halwa), cut fruits and ice cream etc. You got to keep some space in your tummy or esophagus to dump it in your body (ofcourse relish it) and have your way out finally.
If you are too tired now and find hard to move after halla-bol on food, Wave cinemas is on left where they provide AC halls to see the movie or sleep ( if sound is not a...
Read moreIt was a Saturday in August and my experience was extremely disappointing. My wife and I went there for dinner. We were given a table for two and the plates were laid out with a tandoor. They placed 2 skewers of chicken tikka and 2 skewers of mutton. However, it took them 40 minutes to serve the starters again.
When I spoke to a manager standing nearby and mentioned that it had been over 40 minutes since we ordered, they brought 2-3 items themselves. However, after that, there was another 30-minute wait with no one attending to us or bringing starters. We were left sitting with empty plates.
My wife suggested paying the bill and leaving for another restaurant. I expressed my disappointment to another manager, saying I had never seen such poor service before. The manager said it was due to the crowd. I asked why they seated us if they couldn't provide service.
We waited for another 30 minutes, but no one came. As a regular customer who visits with my family once or twice a month, I was extremely disheartened. The plates were empty and the tandoor was getting cold. I have never seen such terrible service in my life.
If they were overwhelmed with customers, why did they seat so many people if they couldn't serve them? We sat idle for 2 hours, feeling disappointed and regretting our decision to visit Pirates of Grill. I will never go back and my friends and relatives won't be visiting either after hearing about...
