Hotel Kamla — Hotel in Jhansi

The review is for Room No. 106 visited in the month of May 2025.

It is a guesthouse where the owners family live in the ground floor and the top floor is guesthouse. There is a lot of discrepancy in terms of the services offered during the time of booking and actual services rendered.

The Check in and Checkout time is varying across various platforms. For eg. during online booking its 12 noon, on google maps its 2pm and 12 noon (checkin and checkout) and on counter its 11 am.

The room was really shabby (not dirty but too many damp patches on the walls). The services offered (as you can see in the booking screenshot), TV wasn't there. Storage racks for clothes, towels wasn't provided. A desert cooler was provided which was a respite in the hot summer day.

It is the top floor so please do consider for taking the AC rooms. But then idk if ACs work during powercuts or not. There was powercut for straight 5 hours during my stay (5pm to 11pm). So the cooler wasn't working during that time.

The service is decent but can be much better. The staff needs to understand that tip is given when the customer feels good about the service. The staff cannot insist the customer 4 times to pay the tip for bringing the food.

The food was expensive considering the quantity and doesn't correspond to the two star facility. However, the food was delicious.

Overall, the non ac room (room no. 106) wasn't worth 650 bucks. I guess the other rooms are in not the same condition. So, I am a bit disappointed with the room that was...

Only good part about kamla guest house is the location of it. It is located near elite chauraha and closer to the railway station. Bedsheets were really dirty and pillows were hard...although blankets were provided and i had to use them as bedsheet...i used MMT to book the room and costed me around 600 rupees. Absolutely amazing Hotel, so neat, so clean, very spacious lavish rooms and bathrooms. Owner Sir is so humble person always ready to help with smile. Felt so comfortable here, after a long Bike ride I really wanted to stay at Hotel where I can relax freely, which is well cleaned and fortunately found this and after meeting owner Sir I was sure I am staying here only.
