Hotel Gagan — Hotel in Kanpur

I visited this hotel few days back. I stayed here for few days. There are many improvement areas in this hotel. Like- 🔥NO dedicated parking 😑😑. You need to find the space on the road to park your vehicle. 1- Lift was not working and it was not repaired at least till the day I left. And I found that nobody was worried about this. 2- stairs were not having supporting handles or grills. If you have old relatives or kids and unfortunately they slipped, nothing is there in the wall to hold. They will certainly get hurt. 3- Intercom was not working. 4- All lights in the room and bathroom were not functional, my wife had to use mobile phone's light to get ready for function. 5- the housekeeping boy was angry when we asked to change the bed sheet . 6- Staff should avoid eating Gutkha.

Cool no nonsense place to stay. Rooms are good economical and staff are polite. I stayed there for 5 nights and me being new to Kanpur, the manager helped me search good places to have food and roam. He actually was so genuine that upon ordering a particular dish in my dinner one night, he told me "Sir, since you are here only till tomorrow, you should rather order this dish from there (another very popular food joint). Ours is good but the one they prepare is best, so you should rather try it from there". A small gesture from him, which actually won my heart. I made booking in feb 15 for nov 8 I made advance 20,000 . Before paying advance I didn't get any cancellation policy or performance invoice . After paying advance they didn't gave any receipt. On 22 feb I called for cancellation of booking because of some issue . They told advance is non refundable. Even requesting a lot they denied that. I told okay adjust that amount in one of your branch then also manager denied . I told to cut cancellation charge and refund because I was cancelling booking 9 months before they denied .
