Chaandhni Lake View — Hotel in Karalakom

I had booked Deluxe room for 2 nights with MakeMyTrip. All female travelers. We arrived by late evening, and nothing was working in their Deluxe room. Plastic chairs in the room, washroom not good. It was basically like a staff room with AC. Geyser switch was outside their washroom, and the staff didn't even bother to update us on check-in. During our entire Kerala trip, this was the first hotel which offered only mattress without bed for a 3rd occupant. After heated arguments, they offered to upgrade the room on paying extra amount, to which I obviously denied for just night time. Would like to point out that at least 2 rooms were vacant where they could've upgraded us. Later their electrician managed to get the appliances working and despite of paying for a 3rd occupant, they gave us a folding wrought iron bed with extra long mattress which was kinda alleviated from one side. Their attitude was like because you are not comfortable, we are doing you a favor by providing this folding bed. Next day, I paid extra amount to switch to a better room and opted for Family suite and still had to compromise with the same alleviated folding bed with extra long mattress. The only plus point was they had backwaters just on their backside, so early morning experience was superb. Had booked Shikara ride with them only to save time, but honestly this was the only thing that lifted up my mood. On the second day, the staff had a little improvement in their behavior though. Family suite room was a spacious room with clean and hygienic washroom, and is good only if there's no 3rd occupant, unless you're ready to sleep on their L-shaped sofa or mattress on the ground. This detailed review is not for the hotel, because they are least likely to improve, this is just for the travelers who misses a very important thing that mattress will be provided, which literally means ONLY...
