My first experience at this wonderful and peaceful place was 10 years ago. It was and still is an unique and unforgetable ayurvedic treatment for me. The luxus to have enough time combined with the exotic fragrances of a oil massage or the stamp treatment with herbals and garlic..It´s a bless. So everytime I come back to India, especially to Kerala I will visit this magic place and take an ayurvedic treatment for minimum one day or most better for more than 2-3 weeks. Let me tell you my very personal story. For more than 4 years ago I came back to Kerala especially and just for an ayurvedic treatment with a 3 weeks duration. It was the longest time I stayed at the same place on holidays! So it will say a lot about this place and the nice people that work there. It was after a I had a very bad accident. I took a lot of treatments and medicines at my homeplace in Germany and after all this finished I went to my friends to India and had an ayurvedic treatment there. It was the best decision I made the last years and it was great healing for my body and my mind, too. Combined with the ayurvedic food and the yoga lessons I leave India in a very good mood! I was able to carry my backpack on my own! That was incredible at that time...Thanks to the phantastic ayurvedic doctors, thanks to Santosh that was looking that everything is ok and helped me to understand indian folclore and cooking, thanks to Joy for the good Badminton matches, thanks to Leila (my personal therapeut), thanks to the yoga teacher that saw where my problems were and show me how to do my exercises well, thanks to Lawrence – he brought me every day my watermelon that I loved so much, thank you to all staff at Sree Krishna ayurvedic center and the staff at Thumpoly Beach—what a wonderful place....Thank you for helping me to heal myself, thank you for all the nice conversations we had...thank you for the great time... I will never forget..and I came back so often...

Spent a day in Shri Krishna Houseboat and it was a memorable one. We boarded the boathouse around 12 p.m and it started by 1.15 p.m. It was a leisurely cruise in the scenic Vembanadu Lake backwaters. Venice is one place anyone wants to visit once in lifetime and when people spoke about Alapuzha as Venice of Asia; I hardly believed but acknowledged later. The feel good factor was so overwhelming when you are cruising in the backwaters, where one side is Alapuzha town and the other side is Alapuzha village. It is a fusion of village life style in one side and relaxed home stay in the other. I was trying to capture oil painting like sceneries in my Nikon D3200 but the resulting images were hardly resembled the original. How on earth they are having such a wonderful cook onboard, who cooks Veg fries, Chicken curries, and Fish fries in awesome speed and taste? Sitting in the Upper deck balcony was a different kind of experience. Overlooking the sprawling and peaceful Vembanad Lake, occasional crossing of other houseboats and speeding sleek canoes are treat for the eyes. Silhouettes of Houseboats on long queue remind me historic battleships of the past. We returned next day morning, it was totally a different level of experience, and I wish to go back when I get the next...
