Fabulous time!!! We are from UK - northwest England. Kish and Ruth We booked a private house boat for overnight stay. We had the captain and the cook to ourselves. We started at 12 noon. The boat was beautiful. Our room was spacious and private with the attached bathroom. The ride through canals were phenomenol. The scenery was great. Lots of birds - cormorants. We moored at 2 places - once to buy fresh live large tiger prawns and crabs which were prepped by the women in the shop four dinner. Robin, ou cook helped bargain tge rates, so that we were not fleeced coming from United Kingdom. It was very relaxing on the boat. We also were able to buy some local beer. We could not buy gin locally, so if you are a gin drinker, pack your own. It was awesome to see the sunset. It was very quiet at night and was able to get good sleep. Bed was comfortable, clean. Air conditioning in the room was a blessing. We would not be able to sleep in the hot humid weather without air-conditioning. Temps were 34 - 35 in the day and 20's in the night. Overall rating 8/10.
