Belaku Farm House — Hotel in Karnataka

Please refrain from booking this property.

They are extremely unprofessional with no work ethics..

We had booked the property a month back paying an advance amount, before our visit and informing them about our arrival timings and bearing the additional cost for odd hours of check in time. However, after we reached there at around 11.30 at night driving all the way from Mumbai, we were told that there is no rooms available as some relatives of the owner Mr Gowtham Bhat have suddenly arrived and to accommodate them, the rooms were all taken, and that our rooms are available only after 10 am in the morning.

We tried to reason out with Gowtham on the phone, as we were not able to reach the exact location and hence needed him to guide us. Instead he started giving us multiple excuses to get rid of us

Due to Mahashivratri, none of the other properties around this farm house was available, as my wife started searching for other properties on the various travel sites, as soon as she realised that these guys have ditched us. Further I continued to persuade Gowtham to get us some place for the night and all this happening at midnight, and me being still in my car with my wife .

Finally Gowtham managed to find a hotel for us some 30 kms away from where we were and we had to travel all the way to this new property in Kumta. By the time we reached the property it was 1.15 am.

This was our ordeal, booking Belaku farms property for our vacation.. It was a big mistake..Please stay away from this place.

This doesn’t end here though.. My friends who had travelled by train were supposed to join us and reach Belaku farms early morning which was also informed to Gowtham a month in advance. My friends : 3 couples and 2 child (less than 5 years).. Even they were denied accommodation .

We then spoke to the hotel in Kumta and made some alternate arrangements at their property itself.. This was all at an additional cost which we had not budgeted for..

The next day we reached Belaku in the afternoon as we had already paid the advance amount a month back, and to our surprise, there was no rooms still available for us... and Gowtham was not taking our calls.

Finally he took our call and sent some guy saying that there has been a death in his family and hence he had to rush out .. and was trying to accommodate us in some other property in the vicinity, though we had booked and paid for Belaku farms.

The other property he was trying to accommodate us, was extremely filthy and stinky and moreover there was no AC., though we had booked AC rooms in Belaku..

Finally we decided enough is enough, asked for a refund and went back to Kumta and stayed in the same hotel we stayed overnight.

It was the worst experience I had so far on my vacations..

The only way we could get such people to task is by avoiding these properties for our vacation. Not to mention the additional cost that we all had to bear and the mental trauma that we had to go through right at the onset of our vacation..

These guys are only interested in minting money and things like customer service, work ethics doesn’t mean anything to them at all..

When I think through of the entire ordeal I sense that, Gowtham may have got a good deal for our rooms from walk-in customers, during Mahashivratri, as a result he just let go off our room, and ditched us, probably coz we got it at a cheaper price since we booked it in advance.

It's very comfortable, homely and attractive. Situated very near to the beach, the home stay is situated in a farm of coconut and areca palms. Suitable for family stay, office outings. Stay here was comfortable and homely. The service was apt and privacy was ensured. This can be a place where you can stay for days and cover nearest tourist destinations like Gokarna temple, Kotiteertha, Om beach, Kudle beach, Shiva caves, Gokarna beach, Mirjaan fort, Colonel tower, Idugunji temple, Murudeshwara temple and Beach, Honnavara eco beach, Kandla park at Honnavara, Yana caves, Benne falls and Uncholli falls. Apsarakonda view point and Apsarakonda falls is also very near to this place. Visit once and you will cherish the memories of the stay here for a...

Good place to stay very calm and clean. Please inform them once booked online to give a ground floor if required. place might feel bit outside. But we have a beach nearby . Do travel over vehicle from there. Night time it's better to vehicle only .

If you prefer to walk and see location in day time ( you will sweat alot because of the temperature 🌡️ ) Take decision as per your wish.

Well sorry I couldn't take any photos due to my tight schedule I stayed ther just for taking a good nap.

Do not hesitate to ask anything at the reception. They will help you what ever is required. Good space for parking both bike and car. The VAN (TT) might have to stop near the road itself (50 meters max...
