We have just came back from the restaurant, first of all, price of 800 Rs for one piece of king fish with garnishing and the same price for prawn dish is extremely high. Secondly, the service - no cutlery brought with the food (needed to ask for it and afterwards they have anyway brought just one fork instead of two, so my husband has eaten his meal with a spoon since we needed to ask many times for different things, so it didn't make sense to ask again for a fork), complimentary bread comes just dry without a butter which you need to ask for again (rather don't give complimentary bread at all then, if you don't know how to serve it), fish dish was supposed to come with mashed potatoes, but came with the rice instead without any explanation. Not an option of normal RO water, just overpriced bottled water for Rs.40. Bill was brought handwritten on a piece of paper without any explanation why is it done so, credit card payment was not possible because of their poor signal, so cash payment was made instead, after that change was not brought back and my husband needed to go to ask for it to which lame excuse was given that the personnel supposedly thought that we have had one more water bottle, but when they were putting the amount into the terminal first, they very well knew that the amount was not 2000 Rs , but 1970 Rs. The only good thing about the whole experience was the taste of the food, nothing else. There is a lot improve about this place. Also other guests were throwing small fireworks around in the vicinity of the restaurant which thanks to its dry structure could have caught fire anytime. Personnel just could have told them to throw fireworks somewhere far...
Read moreThis charming French cafe offers a delightful escape for those seeking a taste of France. While the menu boasts a focus on authentic French cuisine, some dishes may be unfamiliar to those with more conventional palates. Don't hesitate to take recommendations from the friendly waitstaff – they'll expertly guide you towards dishes that tantalize your taste buds.
Be prepared for a relaxed pace. Service can be on the slower side, so it's best to order all your dishes at once. Each dish is prepared with care and may take 30-45 minutes to arrive.
The atmosphere in the evenings is particularly inviting, with low lighting and a chill soundtrack creating a perfect ambiance. For those coming in after a day at the beach, there's nothing quite like a perfectly chilled beer.
If you're looking for something truly special, try their wood-fired baked goods. The smoky aroma and crispy texture are simply divine. This cafe also takes pride in its imported French cheeses. Go ahead and indulge – any cheese dish you choose is guaranteed to be creamy and bursting with flavor.
Highlights from my visits:
The onion soup was a classic done right, rich and perfectly seasoned. The lasagna, garlic bread, and pasta all showcased fresh, organic ingredients and authentic flavors. The seafood was undeniably fresh, and even our more adventurous selections from the French menu proved to be delightful.
Whether you're a seasoned Francophile or simply seeking a unique and flavorful dining experience, this cafe is a must-visit. Just be prepared to relax, savor the atmosphere, and enjoy a...

Ambience - 5/5. Whether you visit during the day and enjoy your day out on the hammocks facing sea, listening to the sound of waves and enjoying sea breeze or in the evening with nice music playing in the back. Cute little cats sometimes running around, not troubling you at all, but if you are upto it - ready to play with you as well. ☺️
Food - 4.5/5 croissants here are amazing - soft and fluffy! Add to it their home made jam , and it's a winner! (Btw i don't like jam, but theirs is an exception! 😅 ) Tried veg lasagna, pork quiche, lemonana, veg crudite sandwich, all of these were enjoyed by us. People accustomed only to Indian palate , please be aware that this is a place for French cuisine, so it may or may not suit your tastebuds. Only possible improvement I can imagine is that there can be more mayo added (or given as optional) to the veg crudite sandwich.
Service : possible point of improvement here - while the Chef himself and his family, the new manager are very very hospitable, polite people , the servers need to be a bit more knowledgeable about their own menu. It was a bit hard for us to discuss with him how/what a dish will be or if any customisation can be done to it (e.g. no capsicum? in a raw sandwich). To be fair, in the end we finally did get a sandwich as per our request and to our liking, as we kept pushing him to confirm with the kitchen. 😊
Wishing you and your team lots of success! Keep it up and see you soon...
