I don't have words to thank their hospitality and support they rendered to me during my stay in their hotel. I am from Bangalore and recently visited Belgaum regarding my daughter's school admission. While getting down from the train my mother in law fell sick and started vomitting and became unconscious. It was 3 AM and being a new place I did not know what to do. I was all panicked as I had my daughter who is 13 years and my son and niece who's 7years old . I went out runningin search of a cab but could not find any.
We finally boarded an Auto who was not aware of any hospitals nearby and took us to a Hospital where all the lights where switched off and the gate was closed. My Motherin laws health was becoming worst, she was not responding and was unable to stand on her own. Then I asked the driver to drop us at hotel which was already booked by us.
We got down at hotel ,a person by name Swaraj atbthe reception immediately came for our helo. He bought us an auto with a Hospital address. And I left kids and our luggage in our room and rushed into emergency.
My daughter had to appear for Entrance Exam in Kittur which is about an hour journey from Belgaum. In the morning I met an Angel in disguise of the manager Mr.Vinod. He arranged for a cab for us early morning at 7 Am. This is not the end of the story. While I was on the way to Kittur My mother-in-law was not fully recovered and started vomitting again ,in my absence Mr.Vinod personally took care of her and not only him. The owner of the Hotel personally visited her and attended her ,they gave her ORS ,medicines and arranged for a lady assistant to accompany my Mother in Law.
My family and I personally thank each and every staff of Hotel Sankam especially Mr.Vinod.
Could not get time to enjoy their wonderful facilities and delicious food ππdue to this mishap ,hoping to visit them again and would strongly recommend them to everyone.
A Special Thanks to the owner and...

Worst - I was standing with my back pack on and that FO gal did not even bother to offer me a seat. I had comfort myself and sat in front of them. For second guy at FO I was like 'non existent' as he did not even bother to look at me though he is the one who scanned my Id proof! (Sic)
The room allotted to me was not as per my specifications mentioned in the mail which was sent one month back!! And for this she was unapologetic. (Sic sic) She offered me a room but later in the evening, by that time I was already settled in the room and was busy with my official work. So I refused. Room was dimly lit and at road side with no good sound insulation. So it was noisy. Oriental food ordered from room service was not good in taste.
Breakfast spread was not that great but south Indian dishes were very good. Most disgusting thing I observed was that there was a single guy who was making dosa/uttapa and at the same time he was preparing egg omelette too... that too without washing his hands. Moreover pan for cooking these two items were so close that there were splashes of each item on one another (sic sic). This is not at all acceptable for vegan like me. In fact I complained this to owner but instead he was guiding and serving me food which was new to me! He was octogenarian, lovable guy who was highly respected by all and sundry. He really made my day.
Just because of this gentleman I may visit this...
