This is one review I am so happy and keen to write, Definitely no one asked me for a review. I feel its my duty to recognize a fantastic service. Moxy hotel at Bangalore Airport. Booked this place at it was convinient for a transit flight in Bangalor. That one guy Akash, delighted me. I have stayed in Thousands of hotels and I will definitely rank this as one of the best. Let me list what ever that delighted. 1 checked in very late at night. And they guy came to collect our luggaes, never seen a front desk employee rush to collect the bags from the car. My son wanted a visa paper to be printed. Akash said, no problem sir, my son asked he needs a colour pint out. He replied they dont have a colour printer but if we can send the document to his Whatsapp he will get it printed. He asked if he can deliver it in the morning. We said if he can do it tonight it will help to sleep peacefully. He said “sure” and did it. He said we are eligible for a complimentary drink but since its past 11 pm, he can give anything from bar as he said can have in the morning. Immediately he realised we check out early in the morning so he asked it we would like any thing else. We needed up having hot chocolate. I asked him if we can have Ola or uber in the morning, he said definitely. We told him we got 6 big bags to check in. How he said that they dont have such big cars but he can arrange a hotel car, two cars. I reluctantly said ok. But he said he will give us 2 cars but charge us only for one. I pinched my self to check if this is India. Morning we have a good breakfast, I ordered for a all veggie two egg masala omelette. It was very nice. My wife wanted one such and it was delivered. After she stated eating the guy( didn't ask his name ) came and said mam this omlett has ham. Do you still want it, and he simply took it away and gave a masala omlett just like mine. I had Cofee. My son wanted double espresso. He said to try their filter Cofee which he said we shouldn't miss. Seeing we liked the Cofee he asked my wife of she would like a filter Cofee. She said she has finished and want to depart. He said they will give that filter Cofee “to-go” , even though she was not keen to have Cofee, just did not want to say no to a kind offer. Rooms were neat, trendy and clean. Extra bed provided even without asking as we were 3 in a room. Earlier this month in USA at the Seatlle Downtown Sheraton Grand, those guys insulted me for a single bottle of mineral water asking I have to pay for it. ( that stupid tiny bottle of water wouldn't cost them 25 cents a bottle. This Moxy hotel when I checked in it had 6 complimentary bottle of water waiting for us. Surprised both are Bon Voy Marriott group hotels. Last but not the least, no one asked me to write a good review, but its my duty to recognize a good service.
If someone wants a lesson in “ Delighting the customer “ please learn from these young guys and gals at Moxy at bangalor...
Read moreThis hotel while an international chain feels like it was build by Indians only for Indians. This hotel is not built for foreign travelers And let me explain why.
They have great vending machines but they only accept upi- most international clients do not use upi. Who ever implemented this has not traveled the world.
If you order food you need to pass it through the xray machine so that your food gets contaminated with ub rays.
The hotel is going cashless but they give you such a strange stare when you ask to use Apple Pay.
The hotel managers do not understand the concept of jet lag. There are travelers who have gotten off long 23 hours and god forbid you close your eyes for a few seconds they will come and tell you not to sleep as it’s against their invisible rules which are not available to their guests.
I was sitting by the bar and hoping for some service but everyone’s talking on their colleagues and to the external party it looks like they were just wasting time.
Over all was a bit disappointing and not like some of the other Marriot properties - I got a room on the 4th floor - the flush refused to work.
I placed an order at the bar - but then a bunch of foreigners came and gave their orders after mine the bar tender became overly courteous to them and prepared everything they wanted first. I then had to remind him again of my order and he acted like he was hearing me order for the first time. It’s sad to see that in our own country Indians in a so called 5 * property support racism and mis treat fellow Indians - our skin colors are a problem everywhere we go including our own country and even in a 5 * property of the marriot - i hope others are no treated like the way i was treated made me feel terrible .
The tv has a food menu and says scan QR code but has no QR code .
Some one needs to look at the nuances the hotel is having - I highly advise this hotel to go down the road check out bloom hotel which is down the road and available at 1/3 rd the price and they offer way better rooms / service / service over all.
Over all this property while I had decent expectations - this property was a big...
Read moreI stayed at this property for 7 nights, and unfortunately, my experience was filled with multiple issues. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Upon the day on check-in, I took an Uber to the hotel, but the location on the map showed the property in an isolated area with no street light or people around. This created significant confusion and trouble, as the hotel did not provide the correct location on Google Maps. After returning from my workout around 11:30 PM, I went to take a shower, but when I turned on the shower, there was no shower gel in the bathroom. I had to call the front desk to have it delivered. The following day, I requested my room to be serviced at 1 PM, but when I returned at 11:30 PM, the room had not been cleaned. I had to call the front desk to have someone come up and clean the room. At checkout, the housekeeping manager explained that there had been a miscommunication with the room attendant, who assumed I didn’t want service, even though I had clearly asked for it to be done later. On the day of departure, I settled my bill around 10 AM and requested both an email and hard copy receipt. I had to follow up three times before the front desk manager, Deepali, finally provided it to me at 3:18 PM. Upon check out, I requested a weighing scale to check my luggage. The staff initially brought an incorrect scale, saying it that he is going to check with a maintenance. I had to call the front desk again, only to be told there was no weighing scale available. However, after speaking to the front desk manager, Deepali, a working scale was promptly provided. Lastly, I would advise against emailing the front desk manager, as she does not check her email or respond to guest inquiries. In comparison to my stay at Hilton, where I was treated with excellent service over 18 nights, my experience at this property was disappointing. I am sad to see Moxy, a brand under Marriott, fail to meet guest expectations, especially considering its potential for growth. The service should be aligned with the standards of the...
