We booked Prajwal Homestay for the long weekend around 15th August2025 , since we cannot usually take days off due to work culture. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and did not justify the cost. We paid ₹16,500 for 2 nights for 5 people, which was quite expensive due to the holiday rush. Basic facilities were poorly maintained – the basin tap was shorter than the sink edge making it hard to wash hands, and the commode was broken (video attached for reference). Zero hospitality or service – on arrival, instead of offering drinking water or a warm welcome, the host immediately started pushing his auto service, quoting ₹7,000 for 2 days, even though we had our own car. He insisted that exploring by car would be difficult due to traffic, but we managed to cover everything comfortably in our own vehicle. At checkout, there wasn’t even a goodbye or thank you once the payment was made. If you’re someone who prefers a good stay with nature and a clean, relaxing environment, I would not recommend this homestay — not even at normal prices, as the surroundings are not very clean or peaceful. However, if you only need a place to rest and don’t care about comfort, you may consider it during off-season when the rates are lower. On a side note, if you are planning a trip to Hampi, August is a good time to visit as the weather...
Read moreIt is a pleasure to be writing about a place that certainly would prove to be a home away from home. Having visited Hampi with my family, opting for a good place to stay was not all that easy. It was then i came across this place & loved it at the very first sight. It is clean, comfortable & is owned by a family that you feel is yours ! The Owner, Mr. Rajanna was very kind & caring. The rooms are designed like huts that gives us a relaxed feel. The owner stays on the ground floor with his family & his wife provided us with breakfast, lunch & dinner... Typical home made food that you would not find anywhere else. The pricing has been very reasonable for the service they offer. Their Son, Prajwal has been helpful with everything. I highly recommend this place during your visit to Hampi. It is not just about business, but the saying "athiti devo bhava" is very well...
Read moreWe had a truly wonderful experience staying at Prajwal Homestay in Hampi. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The highlight was definitely the delicious homecooked meals lovingly prepared by Prajwal’s mother – authentic, fresh, and full of traditional flavors that made us feel like part of their family.
Prajwal’s father, Raja, went out of his way to make our trip memorable. His auto service was super convenient and comfortable, and with his excellent knowledge of Hampi, he also became our guide. He explained the history, showed us the best spots, and made sure we covered everything without any stress.
The hospitality, warmth, and personal care given by this family made our stay so special. If you are visiting Hampi, I would highly recommend staying at Prajwal Homestay – for the food, the comfort, and the amazing guidance that makes exploring Hampi even...
