Hotel Hill Palace — Hotel in Karol Bagh

The hotel room l stayed in was good. Bed sheets were clean, both room and washroom was tidy. Window A/C was good enough to cool the room. The only thing which l want to highlight here is the staff behaviour which was unexpectedly very bad. When l was checking out of the hotel l was suppose to pay the price of a water bottle which ideally should be complimentary but anyways l was okay to pay the same. I was in a rush and l quickly scanned the QR Code put on the reception Table and paid the bill. As soon as l did that the man on the reception, the name of whom l do not know but he keeps a French Beard started speaking in a very rude and unprofessional way as why l did the payment scanning that particular QR. I told him it was right infront on the reception Table so l did that. He started yelling at me saying why didn't you ask me, this is not a Tea shop that you scan and pay anywhere.

My humble request to the owner is that uneducated, uncultured people like him who lack the basic etiquette to talk to a customer are putting the hotel's reputation at stake. End of the day what matters most is the behaviour of the people deployed at the place the services of which one is availing. If you continue keeping ill mannered rude and arrogant person like him who does not mend his ways the business is going to suffer irrespective of how good the services are offered. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone where the receptionist does not how to talk to the customer and spoil his mood for the...

Entrar en recepción y encontrarse a Bharti es una bendición, sobre todo cuando llegas con niños y mucho cansancio después de un largo viaje. Es tan amable, que te ayuda en todo, y siempre está pendiente de lo que puedas necesitar. Además, su nivel de español es increíble; cosa que a la hora de preguntar inquietudes sobre el país, para los que hablamos poco inglés, es genial. Sus empleados son como él y siempre están dispuestos ayudarte en todo lo que necesites, y el servicio de habitaciones y la comida del restaurante está muy buena y sabe a casa. Son muy educados y respetuosos siempre, así que cuando llegas, te tratan como si fueses de la familia desde el primer momento y te hacen sentir como en tu propia casa. La limpieza de las habitaciones, es de las MEJORES que me he encontrado en India. No solo en los aseos, si no en sabanas y toallas también. Además de los pequeños detalles que te dejan en el cuarto, como las botellas de agua, papel higiénico y los jabones. El poder hacerte un té si te apetece en la jarra de agua caliente y los vasos que hay en el cuarto te dan la vida al llegar. Nuestra habitación en concreto además de estar impecable como os comentaba, era muy grande y los colchones muy cómodos así que nos pudimos quedarnos todos juntos. Los niños estaban encantados de poder tener una buena conexión WiFi en la habitación y televisión para cotillear como eran las programaciones indias antes de dormir. Calidad y precio corresponden a lo que os vais a encontrar, e incluso puedo decir que me ha parecido barato, después de la experiencia vivida. El metro está muy cerca, y tienes acceso a cualquier parte de la ciudad. Bharti además nos ayudo a contratar las un par de excursiones con conductor privado en las cuales disfrutamos de su compañía, ya que su conocimiento como guía es increíble. Y lo mejor fue que en ningún momento nos llevo a ningún sitio que no quisiésemos, como nos paso en otras ocasiones, en las que nos llevaron casi a la fuerza a tiendas, donde nos ponían los precios por la nubes o nos intentaban obligar a comprar. Cada vez que necesitábamos algo nos enseñaba y nos ayudaba a regatear para conseguir siempre el precio justo. Nuestros días estuvieron llenos de risas y muy buenos momentos en familia que nunca olvidaremos, ya que a Bharti le encantan los niños y supo llevarlos muy bien y explicarles todo lo que le preguntaban con paciencia y sobre todo muchísimo cariño. Tenemos muchas ganas de volver a verle y disfrutar de nuevo de su compañía, ya que el hotel se ha convertido en nuestro nuevo hogar en Delhi. Siempre nos soliamos quedar en el Paharganj pero después de conocer la zona de Karol Bagh la verdad es que el cambio ha sido maravilloso y si te apetece ir al Paharganj puedes coger un tuc tuc y estas en cuestión de unos 10 o 15 minutos estás, ya que son unos 3 kilometros lo que separan un barrio del otro. En resumen os diré que no os lo penséis, el hotel de Bharti es MUY...

Room: The deluxe rooms are way tooo small. No place to keep 2 huge suitcases, especially if you're staying in Karol Bagh for shopping. The good side is that when i complained about the size to the manager, on the same day, he upgraded me to a more spacious room. But, he made me understand that i was upgraded only because i stayed for 2 weeks. ||Staff: The kitchen staff is very nice. But those in the hotel, esp. the bell boys, are too greedy. Always waiting for tips. They unnecessarily want to lift your bag (which is not heavy) to get tips. & mind you, if you give only 20-30 INR, they make faces coz they want more!!||Access: Metro is very near. Walking distance 5 -7 mins. I found it a bit far from karol bagh market. You will need a 'ricksha' & ask him to drop you near the south-indian food corner before the big 'gol chakkar' (round-about).||Food: No need to book 'with breakfast'. Many places around to eat.
