Manton Residency — Hotel in Kolkata

Good if you are looking for a short visit in a budget hotel. This place doubles up as a banquet hall. Staff is courteous and there is a restaurant inside. Late night kitchen and room-service is not available. You should call up and enquire room prices before booking on any online portal. Preferably you should carry your own toiletries if you are a hygene freak. There is a 'manton guest house' as well few miles away. So make sure you search and book the right one to prevent any hassles. I got a double room for Rs. 1k in the month of October....

NEVER, NEVER EVER book this lodge. My room number was 403. We booked 6 rooms as we have a large group for attending a marriage. All rooms are filthy smelling. Small room. Only one plug point. They do not change pillow cover although it's already dirty. Lift is always out of order. The person at the front desk is noncooperative.
