Treebo Globe International, Near Kalighat Mandir — Hotel in Kolkata

I went to Kolkata for a short trip of two days and stayed at this hotel. Got to know about the hotel from my friend Kapil Parihar. Even if it was for only two days, the time I spent at Treebo Globe International was very pleasant and comfortable. I would like to jot down my experience in following points The service of the place was very good and staff were friendly. Specially the front desk staff was very helpful. While I was there, I needed car service for whole day and just over a phone call they arranged a car for me of my choice. It really helped me to roam around Kolkata and finish all my work easily. I will give highest point for the cleanliness of this place. Both the room and the bathroom was very clean and equipped with toiletries. Equipment's in the bathroom were so clean that it was shining like brand new items. Treebo has really taken care of the basic needs of a guest and have provided all the basic facilities. From AC,TV,free wifi to Tea,Coffee at room,Newspaper in the morning; they have given it all in this budget hotel. Also the location of the hotel is very good. Centrally located on Hazra road and very near to Jatin das Park metro station. Many food joints are just outside the hotel and well communicated to other places of Kolkata. Being a foodie, food is always my priority. The complementary breakfast was good and attached Bengali restaurant named Ghare Baire was a plus point. There I got chance to taste authentic Bengali food(which includes Bhappa Ilish) which was really delicious.

Room was clean and comfortable. After arriving from Varanasi by train we arrived here by an Ambassador taxi ) a nice experience in itself) we got our rooms then met downstairs for a quite lunch before we were due to go to Victoria Memorial Park.||||I had a quite nice pakora and eventually chose a lime soda since the sullen restaurant manage dodn't appear to have anything else to drink that I asked for.||||As we were due to leave before six the next morninng our guide Pema ordered a pack breakfast for us. I wish I had taken a picture of it but I didn't. I was presented in a white cake box neatly secured with several red rubbed bands creating a nice criss cross pattern on the top of the box. I opened it at the airport before we went through security and I would have been as well just throwing it straight into the garbage as apart from a very small carton of mango juice there were 2 dry pieces of white bread, a tiny over ripe banana and maybe cheese ??||||Oh I also took a picture of the sponge that as on my shower in...

The hotel is located on Harish Mukherjee Road and it is near to Kalighat fire station. We stayed here for 10 days. The rooms were clean and service staff were attentive and efficient. The breakfast buffet was also good. The restaurant was also and menu were good. Overall the experience was good. Only problem we faced was with payment at the time of checkout. I paid using UPI , the money was deducted from my account, but the merchant didn’t receive. They make us wait for an hour. Finally I have to pay again in cash as we had a flight to catch.I hope my money is safe and comes back to my account. The Hotel needs to change their bank, improve their payment method, so that no customer face any problems while making payments online or through UPI like us .I can recommend this hotel and only request to you people that pay in cash to the hotel for hassle free check...
