Read moreIf you want a real north Indian dhaba style food, we can assure that Jai hind will definately not disappoint you. It's far better than some so called famous dhabas of Kolkata. Kudos to zomato for expanding it's delivery range, else we would have definitely missed this gem. We ordered: Chicken Bharta: Undoubtedly the best chicken bharta in the city. A huge portion of shredded chicken cooked with egg yolks & 'not so spicy' red curry. It was quite rich and absolutely delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Chicken tikka butter masala: This is also one of their bestselling items. After taking the first bite of it with the naan, we are some kind of lost in paradise. How can a item be so perfect. Remember it's not old Delhi style butter chicken. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
From the bread basket we ordered laccha parantha & butter naan. It was punjabi style "Tandoor ka Parantha", with diameter larger than my dinner plate. I couldn't finish one. . This is a must try all north Indian & Punjabi...

However, the food was utterly disappointing and bland. We ordered a masala papad, which was a papad with tomato and onions diced on top. The papad was soggy even before it reached our table. Tandoori chicken was decent. I would rate it to be best thing we had. The butter masala kulcha was just tandoori roti with a miniscule amount of stuff. It was stiff and salty. The chicken handi was 400 bucks of only chicken, masala and methi seeds. It was horrendous. We didn't like eating it and had to get it packed to prevent it from getting wasted. Overall it was an terrible experience, far from the last experience I had 4 years back. Needless to say, I won't be back here for some years. Not...
