People in Ladakh are generally kind and welcoming, but at Napishu House you experience something truly special: a sense of familiarity, warmth, and genuine care that makes your stay truly unique.

The house is beautiful, with spacious and bright rooms, each with its own bathroom, tastefully furnished and decorated in warm, pleasant colors. Surrounding the house is a wonderful garden, lovingly cared for every day by Tsetan and Phunchok.

Meals are served in a beautiful new dining room, which they’ve recently been able to build – a lovely space where guests can gather and feel at home.

Every morning, Phunchok prepares excellent breakfasts with typical Ladakhi bread, eggs, dal, fresh fruit, jam, and honey – always served with care and generosity.

With fresh produce from their garden, they also prepare delicious, homemade meals. Their sons, Dede and Otdan, are always helpful and kind, contributing to the kitchen with warmth and friendliness.

I was lucky to stay with them for two months, during my volunteering experience at the Munsel School for children with disabilities – a time I will always carry in my heart, also thanks to Napishu Guest...

We stayed at Napishu for about two months during September and October 2025. The guesthouse is tucked away in a peaceful part of Lower Tukcha, offering a quiet and spacious room that made our stay very comfortable. The host family is incredibly warm and caring — always quick to help whenever we needed something. They even cooked delicious meals for us several times. We stayed during the summer of political unrest and closures. The family was very caring and helpful during that time.

The property has apple trees, so we enjoyed an endless supply of fresh apples! The rooms are spotless and well maintained, reflecting the family’s care and attention. The WI-FI, electricity and hot water was good! We truly can’t recommend Napishu enough.

Don’t forget to visit the pack of seven friendly dogs that live just down the road — feeding them cookies and bones became our daily ritual. Overall, staying at Napishu was a wonderful experience, and we’re already planning to return...
