Our stay at Mahua Tiger Resort was a delightful blend of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. Set in the heart of the jungle, the property offers a perfect escape for wildlife lovers and those seeking peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
One of the biggest highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the amazing food. Every meal served was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. From local delicacies to simple comfort food, everything we tasted exceeded expectations. The dining experience definitely adds to the charm of this resort.
A special mention must be made of Suraj Ji, the hotel manager, who truly sets the tone for the warm and welcoming environment at the resort. He is a gem of a person, not only attentive to guest needs but also deeply involved in managing and training the staff with remarkable dedication and passion. It’s heartening to see a manager so invested in the growth and development of his team while ensuring each guest has a memorable stay.
The property itself is very well maintained, with clean rooms, beautifully kept pathways, and lush greenery all around. There is a raw rustic charm to the place that goes perfectly with the surrounding forest landscape. However, one aspect that could use some modernization is the traditional door latches. While the chains and hooks add to the vintage look of the resort, from a security and convenience standpoint, they can be a bit tedious to handle, especially in today’s time when more secure and user-friendly locking systems are available.
Another area that could be improved is the indoor games section. While it’s a nice idea to have these facilities for guests during downtime, the games and equipment are in poor condition and need maintenance. A little attention to this space would go a long way in enhancing the overall guest experience.
That said, none of these minor issues took away from the overall fantastic experience we had at Mahua Tiger Resort. The service, the surroundings, and the warm hospitality more than made up for the few shortcomings. It’s a place we’d gladly return to, and one we would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with a touch of...
Read moreTiger Corridor markets itself as a luxury resort . While it is probably wrong to compare an Indian interpretation of luxury with western standards, the investment in bedroom and bathroom furnishings and fittings has not extended to investment in training of staff.||||Having been on the road for five hours, our arrival was met with indifference at reception, not even a cup of tea being offered. Our question about the location of the dining room was met with the reply that 'the boy' would show us round on our way to the room. As it was raining we were taken to our bungalow on a golf buggy, the seat of which was stylishly covered by a sheet of damp newspaper. That 'the boy' failed to show us round either the site, or indeed the location of anything in our in our room was in no small part due him not speaking English; a point later acknowledged by the receptionist. This inefficiency was a recurring feature of our three night stay.||||Junior staff showed a smiling eagerness to please but were hampered by a lack of training in many areas of hospitality beyond the learning of a few simple phrases..||||Add to this decrepit garden furniture and lavatories serving the dining room which were far from luxurious, or even clean, it is clear that this place needs a shake-up from the top down.||||Our guide/naturalist, Rachit and the Gypsy driver were excellent.||||Tiger Corridor is in a lovely setting and deserves better management...
