Okay, I am from Thane (Mumbai suburb) and we visited Kanha in the month of November. Did not have lot of expectations from either the place or the trip overall but we were for a pleasant surprise. Travel - Family of four, 2 kids and 2 adults, decided to be adventurous and try a rail journey instead of the normal, routine and bit cumbersome flight journeys. We boarded the Gnayeshwari express from LTT at 8:35 and reached Gondia station the next day at 11:30 in the morning. Train was on time, pretty clean and even the washroom were unlike the ones that we had been witnessing during our childhood days. Basically, it was good digital detox time:) Commute from Gondia station to Club Mahindra was cool! Though it was 3 hours long, yet the natural forest envt was quite refreshing. Club Mahindra - Spacious, in the midst of forest area and pristine! But, we had for company a gang of 50 odd dhokla guests who were loud, boisterous and had literally hijacked the resort. As an old time member we were looking forward to relaxed environment, good food and a time to rewind onself but it was not meant to be. Food was ok, the amenities of pool, cycling, play house wasn't utilised to that extent that we had been doing for years. However, the resort acknowledged our grievance and did their very best to make us feel comfortable. Loved the double cycling and the greenery in the resort. in fact, we spotted a few spotted deers and bara singha from the balcony of our room. Kanha forest - One word, not to be missed at all. Ok, that's more than one word. They have ensured that the natural surroundings have been retained and yes we did spot the tigress, albeit for 1.5 seconds. The build up to seeing the tiger was around 1 hour ... yet, it was worth it. The cold weather, the greenery, the giant spiders, the animals.... amidst the open jeep was simply unbeatable. Winters should be more fun though we have been advised that May is the best time to see tigers. Go for it

This was our first visit at a Mahindra Resort and a very pleasant one. The location of the resort is off the main road and that is its major plus point. It is well designed with beautiful landscaping. We were impressed with the environmental messages that were incorporated into the whole resort experience. The one-bedroom apartment where we stayed was beautifully designed and very cozy. Just the right size for a family of four. The staff was very cordial and made every guest feel special. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. During our travels one of the things that we always find wanting in any hotel/resort is the exhaust system of the wash room. This might seem like a minor issue to a lot of travelers, but those who are sensitive to hygiene, this could be a major source of frustration. But here at Mahindra, we were pleasantly surprised to see how efficient the exhaust vent was inside the bathroom !! There were a host of day and night activities organised at the resort including bird watching, nature trail, pottery making etc. There are facilities for table tennis, badminton, swimming etc. Shri Qadirbhai, who was our bird watching guide impressed us with his skill and knowledge. The food was quite good with a lot a variety for every kind of palate. The local sweet dishes were very good. The cakes at the kids's corner in the dinning room were spongy and moist. Chicken and egg salads especially, were brilliant. Main courses were great, but their mutton and fish dishes left something to be desired. The Medu vada was a bit dense and not spongy. We got our jungle safari permit online from the Forest department website. But apparently, the travel desk at Club Mahindra can also make these arrangements on your behalf. I have also attached some photographs taken during our jungle safari inside the Kanha National Park. We managed to see four tigers: Neelam and her three sons !!

Club Mahindra Kanha is definitely one of the best luxurious stay options in Kanha National Park. Located just a 4 KMS away from the main gate it is a place I would recommend for families as well as couples. Club Mahindra offers 3 room types but for me the Tents are worth staying at. The tents are away from the main complex and take a couple of minutes walk to reach. Each tent has this full size glass that gives you an exceptional view. The tents are well equipped with a microwave, a small freezer and even a television. We had gone their for our honeymoon and the staff made beautiful decorations for us on the first day. Club Mahindra offers 2 meal options for their guests. The first option is the al-a-carte menu where you can order from a fixed menu. The second option and the one I absolutely love is the buffet. It is expensive, but the spread and variety of food is amazing. Also, a tandoor kitchen that prepares your Indian Breads when you order them is really nice. If you are a wildlife lover and are doing safaris (you absolutely should) I recommend getting their breakfast for the morning safaris. Club Mahindra drivers are quite good and they will try their best to show you wildlife. Ofcourse club Mahindra has their standard offerings like the swimming pool, massage center, rifle shooting and archery and various other activities. But that is not why you should visit Club Mahindra Kanha. it's all about the national park and experience of exploring this park. Club Mahindra is definitely worth a try if you are looking for a luxury resort.

09 March 2021, I had a pleasurable and memorable stay at Club Mahindra, Kanha. When you reach the resort, the security guard is ready with the list of members who will be checking-in on that day, and without your name on that list, you will not be allowed to enter. Parking, Check-in was smooth. First thing you notice is the beautiful and well maintained, clean and Green property, so come prepared with a Good camera for Insta selfie. The resort is for members only, and guests are mostly families. Rooms are designed with big balcony view such that ample sunlight enters the room. Even in mid-forest, you get 24 hr. supply of warm water and electricity. Along with tea-maker, rooms also have kitchenware like microwave and utensils. Rooms have a small working table as well for laptops etc. They follow the Environment friendly protocol and so they don’t provide packaged water bottles instead they provide water cans with RO water which are refilled on request. Try waking up early morning by 7am to meditate with sound of birds singing. Take benefit of early morning jogging in this green location. During our stay, nights were really cold and days were hot, so pack accordingly. At our arrival we had booked Buffet meals for our stay. Throughout our 3 day stay, all 3 meals were delicious. We personally loved the taste, as they were as good as home-cooked. The food was cooked in good oil and served fresh. The flavor was neither too spicy nor to dull, yet exciting for the tongue. Sweetness of sweet dishes were almost perfect. Don’t expect very large spread of food items, yet you get a good variety of food at every meal. The live chef counters serve thin, soft and tasty butter Nan. The chefs and Staff are on their toes. Throughout our stay we noticed that all the staff strictly followed the covid-19 rules of wearing mask. The buffet was assisted buffet, i.e. to minimize touch, the staff serve the guests. There are many paid in-house and outdoor activities, so do enquire at the Activity zone. If time permits, do engage in all of them to fully enjoy your holiday. They organize some or other guest engagement activity at evening 7:30 pm daily, you can attend and enjoy. We booked the in-house Adventure Package which included rope-walking, wall-climbing, zip-line cycling and they were really worth it. All these in-house adventure activities have proper trained staff along with safety harness and protective gear. Initially you might think that charges are slightly expensive but once you experience the professional and high standard service they provide with safety measure, you will understand that they are not. They attend one member at a time, which means they are not here for profit but for guest safety. We had also booked body massage Spa on our last day. The therapists are professional and well trained. Our experience was very positive and relaxing. The prices are standard, so don’t restrain yourself, take a very good experience on your holiday. The payment for all activities have to be done at check-out, they provide a detailed invoice and explain each entry, which makes the check-out process very smooth. I had a very good Holiday experience. Overall, have realistic expectation and come to relax in nature and rejuvenate your inner self on your Kanha holiday at...

We had an amazing experience staying at Club Mahindra Kanha. Right from day 1 when we started planning the trip till the time we were dropped to the airport the entire journey was seamless and worthwhile. Rahul from the travel desk was helpful in guiding us and helping us with our airport transfers from Nagpur and Safaris. We had booked the car pick-up from the resort itself and just as we landed driver called saying I am waiting right outside the arrivals. Driver was nice didn't converse much but was courteous and helpful. As we arrived the room was ready and we were checked-in without any hassle. The baggage was in the room in no time. The room was spacious and clean with clean bathroom. The room service was also really prompt.

We were pretty late for lunch and we chose to go for alacarte. The manager at the restaurant Yogesh took us through the meal packages for the course of our complete stay but we weren't very sure as we had read some mixed reviews about the food and thought it would become very monotonous for 3 days. However at the end of our first meal which was good and freshly prepared we decided to go for the package and it was quite worth it. Yogesh and his team were very accommodating and we're open to customise certain dishes as per our requirement. They also ensured our breakfast was packed and ready before our morning Safari and tea coffee were served sharp at time communicated to us (5:30am) making sure that we don't get late to leave. They even agreed to pack us some sandwiches for our evening Safari (which they aren't liable at allfor). The breakfast spread is quite good and worthwhile. Also they try creating some variations in lunch and dinner with Pasta and Chinese to break the monotony of Indian food which gets boring over and over again. My non vegetarian friends were happy too. Chef Ajinkya was very courteous to come and ask us if we were ok and enjoying the food.

Even the Safari bit which was booked through the travel desk of the resort was seamlessly booked and responsibly exectued. Rahul was proactive in keeping us informed about the timings, Jeep number, permits, etc. The guide we got for the morning Safari was excellent and had great knowledge. We were lucky to sight a tigeress with 2 cubs:). Didn't ask his name of the guide though.

The resort staff and management put in a lot of efforts in curating activities to keep their guest engaged and have different activities each day. The same is communicated to guests over call every morning. They have activities like pottery, carnival, guided cycling tours, sunset tours and much more.

Overall great experience staying at Club Mahindra Kanha. The staff is extremely courteous, hardworking and helpful. I highly recommend...
