Miraya - A mixed bag of goodies
We stayed here for 4nights. It's a place tht grows on you and then you really start enjoying the place.
The good part first The view from the rooms is simply amazing. Rooms with balcony are on the lower floor and without balcony are on the higher floor. Both rooms are fantastic as we stayed in both. Personally I liked the lower floor rooms. Huge balcony outside the room but privacy issues are there as they only divided by fencing. The food is simply amazing. It's a pure veg hotel. They really take care of your food requirements. Always willing to go the extra mile. My wife is gluten intolerant and mom is a jain. Both the requirements were well taken care off. I have never seen any hotel of this category serving hot Puri to guest for breakfast. Veg Biryani is out of the world. Your taste buds will be fully satisfied out here. The dining area is so cosy and gives the same fantastic view like the rooms. The hotel ambience, view and feel will remind you of Himachal/Uttarakhand hotels. The service/staff is good but needs more training. Rough on the edges. They are prompt to take care of your requirements. The owner of the hotel Atul personally takes interest and is involved in day to day running of the hotel and tht is wht is making the difference. Property is well maintained and clean. Garden Landscaping has been beautifully done. There is private road near the hotel where we used to go for our morning walks. The place is truly amazing. You must go there There is WiFi with good connectivity The hotel is situated a little inside from the main road and hence very peaceful and away from the road traffic
The bad part now - The property does not hv much open space. It's a compact hotel. When I first saw the way it was situated I was taken aback and started wondering if I had taken a wrong decision to stay here. But to me since I had taken the balcony room for 3 nights it's didn't matter to us. The approach road to the hotel is narrow. BMW and Mercs will struggle. Construction activity right next to the hotel and a little below in front of the hotel may cause nuisance but we were lucky it didn't bother us much Housekeeping issues were there like - torn pillow covers, dirty towels, linens not clean, etc. But they were quick to change once brought to their notice. Still my request would be to improve housekeeping standards. Lower floor room doors keep shaking when there is a wind gust and hence can be quiet a nuisance. I faced an issue when the housekeeping staff was.cleaning the room next door. Also noise seems to travel through the lower floor room doors and hence needs better insulation. While the housekeeping staff was cleaning the room they kept talking loudly between them which was quite disturbing in the afternoon AC had leakage issues
The ugly part - Well there is nothing ugly about this hotel.
I truly had an amazing time at the hotel and surely intend to stay here again on my next visit.

Read moreCourteous staff, Good location, Calm and noiseless ambience. Room service available and prompt. They also have cloth dryer stand, incase you are staying for longer period. The following are the issues due to which they lose out a star.
The restaurant is shared between two hotels or two different structures. Their breakfast starts at 8.30AM due to which the restaurant with 8 tables gets crowded easily. The dishes gets over quickly and take time to be replenished. I am writing this review from the hotel. Today we made two attempts at the breakfast. The third attempt we were able to find a table. The cutlery and plates were expensed so we had to wait. Then as the wait got longer we used the side plate and bowls as makeshift. By this time the upma had got over and the dosa counter was already backed up. By this time we had gone over the breakfast completely. Kids took the pav and adults took the dosa that we could lay our hands on. The owner needs to think on this aspect. The manager doesn't seem to have the pulse of the situation and may not have conveyed rhe importance of this to the owner. Guests usually come from other places, and our biological clocks are tuned to waking up early. I dont see the logic of opening breakfast at 8.30. By the way 8.30 is not 8.30 in India. You can be given one dish and told the other dish is on the gas and will be ready in 10 minutes. Owner needs to start at 7.30 especially if he is sharing this with property around. Wi-Fi does not have UPS. So we had frequent power cuts and connection drops. Bathroom switches need to be cleaned periodically. There is grime on it from touching it with food. Bathroom floor is a bit slippery. Needs a better anti skid tiles. If you are traveling with senior citizen please be cautious.
On the day of departure the kitchen staff helped us by providing a full breakfast by 8.15 AM. And helped pack us with sandwiches for the road. Thanks for your...
Read moreWe visited Panchgani in June 2022. We made a short online search for a hotel with good views. We came across with Miraya. The rates mentioned on its website for Miraya Vista rooms showed a 40% discount on weekdays. We tried to apply it but failed times again. I made a direct call to hotel, they told me as it is a season time the offer is not applicable. However, there was no mention of season time or such a condition on hotel website. When confronted with this fact, the hotel accepted the deficiency but failed to give the declared discount. At that point I had decided to drop the hotel, however, I got a good offer for same property through MMT and I booked Miraya Vista room for 2 nights. Upon arrival we found that the Miraya Vista room was a flight down compared to other category and 5-6 such rooms shared a common big terrace, demarcated by big flower pots only. View from terrace is really good. However, due to common terrace and large glass windows the privacy is comprised. The privacy of the rooms on upper floors is also little compromised as from terrace the windows of all the upper floor rooms, chairs and table near room window are well visible. One may look into your room unintentionally. Otherwise, rooms are good, very clean and big enough for a couple. Staff is polite and responsive. Food is good. Breakfast is served late starting 8:30 am to 10:00 am. View from restaurant is also good although it is small. Last order of the day is 10 pm. For fully booked property it is small. Hotel is going to start another floor of 5 double rooms lower to the floor of Miraya Vista room. The rooms are small but enough for 2 and has a small private balcony. View from these rooms is also good. We visited another newly constructed hotel Kings Inn just next door to Miraya. The rooms of this property are small but with all basic needs and have small private balcony. The vied from balcony is also good. Advantage is much lower cost...
