I got a recommendation to stay at this hotel to witness its legacy and history. But honestly speaking barring a few tokens there is none. It's just another 2-star overpriced hotel

Cons: Let me list them out in bullets: 0 Privacy: 75% of the room balconies open towards the road. For me, the distance with the main entrance was so close that I could have made a drink and had cheers with him. It was as akin to staying on the main entrance. If you open the balcony door, then while coming out of the washroom you can wave a hello/hi to the people at the hotel's main entrance. We requested the reception desk where we got two views - One female person said that there is a room available and we may shift you. The other male person was a little rude. He gave me the figure of 75% of rooms facing the main entrance and he cannot do anything. While checking out, I asked how I may book so that I get a lawn facing room to which he said its purely on luck and cant help.

0 Privacy (Part #2): The balconies are so close that you are almost sitting together with the other room inmates.

Swimming Pool is a waste: The swimming pool's filtration & movement of water (whatever that's called) was not happening and hence the water was static and dead cold. We asked the person to get it started (around 4 PM) to which he mentioned pool timings are over :-D Then had to call reception - manager - person to get the things started while spoiling the entire mood.

Washrooms are creaky: The washrooms are clean and creaky and you will get to see the legacy in old rotten door edges and rusten taps :-P

Road to hotel is pathetic: The 50 meters just before the hotel is super pathetic and rocky.

Pros: Ordered food and received a good warm one. 2 stars in my review are for the same.

Conclusion: This is very over-priced when compared to other hotels for the amenities it offers. Check-In early and ask for the rooms...

Surprised to see such a rundown property from "Royal Orchid" Group. Not at all recommended .From exterior it looks like a nice heritage property . Front office girl was responding with all "no's" without any hospitality. We booked a "Deluxe Room"with an advance request to allocate us room with a view or upgrade us a better room. Allocated Deluxe room was dungeon, poor in a rundown building. Room was small with a queen size bed , an old sofa and TV. Outside sitting area was too dirty with very old , stained chairs and a table with a covered balcony . Inner walls of the room was not painted properly. It doesn't worth for Rs.9500+ Thanks to Abdul patel, FOM who agreed to upgrade us to a new Cottage room. We were saved becoz of him. Nice, polite person. Cottages were new without any views. or table and chair to work on . I don't recommend this room too to anyone who is particular in views and needs comfortable space to work from a resort or hotel. You can't enjoy even by sitting inside the cottage . A la Carte menu was better in taste . Morning Buffet was a waste . Food items served without any flavour or taste . Tea was like water . Staff members need to be oriented in restaurant. Buffet dinner was slightly better but not great . Very few items tasted good. It's not very good like any other "Royal Orchid" property where we have stayed . It's not a 3 star property, rather a single star one. We don't visit again or don't recommend anyone who enjoyed the comforts of real 3 or 4 or 5 star hotels in...

We visited Regenta Mahableshwar in December during Christmas. The gala dinner was over priced and poor service. The hotel isn't maintained at all and we had to wait for 1 hr outside our room as the room key was not operational. 5 different people came to open the door and finally they realised that the battery of door had to be replaced. Next day the breakfast area was cluttered with people as no space in dining area. There was shortage of cutlery, chairs, food and service off course. Many people came forward and explained them way to run the hotel when there are more guests in hotel. We did not complain on that too and finally there was a big service issue which amounts to stealing by hotel staff. We forgot our 1kg plum cake packed box in hotel by mistake which amounted around 900 bucks. We called the hotel staff the next day 4-5 times post check out and that our friends can get it picked and they kept saying that they would check and get back. No one called and next day when we called again the staff explained that the box was already eaten and they had to throw it as per hotel policy of eatables not kept beyond 24 hrs. Another staff gave an update that the box wasnt open but they threw it as per policy. The hotel staff has been very unprofessional in dealing with this scenario. We faced similar scenario with Taj property and appreciate their honesty and professionalism. Guys please dont visit this property as its just...

Here is my feedback on the stay: Welcome experience: - Check in time 12.00. I was there at the resort at 1.30pm. The room was NOT ready. - I was told to wait for 5 mins, with my 3 year old, sleeping in my arms. The chairs at the reception are not friendly, when I have a kid in my arms. -The good part, I was offered a deluxe room to freshen up. Bad part, my daughter got cranky during this transition. -I was not briefed about the facilities available, internet connection know how, etc. The room: Cottage is nice, not much different from the deluxe rooms. The bathroom, was stinking. The exhaust was making an unbearable noise. The property: It is a very good, kinda modern traditional fusion. The kids garden: Poor. Slides not clean. Seesaw broken. Very uncomfortable meri go round. Good to see a temple in the premise. The food: Had ordered mutton biryani in the evening, at the restaurant. The rice was soggy and it felt it was re heated by adding a liquid on the top. The breakfast spread was very nice. At 9.00am, there was no place to sit and we had to sit in the outdoors. Tasting the mouth watering spread just became distant. The live counter orders arrived after I finished my breakfast. To conclude: Considering an amazing property and having stayed at the other ROC properties, i would rate it as Poor.

The most beautiful properry tucked away in Mahabaleshwar. It is amazing that all these years never once knew that such a marvel is hidden away. The cottages are beautiful & extremely clean . All toiletries were provided when we requested it. Check in & check out were a breeze. The setting is so damn beautiful with little sitouts for each cottage. I could spend My life here. 😃 The breakfast spread was more than we could ask for & the staff was so friendly , polite & well behaved. I think its the staff which really either can make or break a Hotel. The owner must be really paying special attention to staff training. Kudos to the entire management & I hope the continue to extend this wonderful hospitality to one & all . Always. Fantastic place to be with Family & Friends for a weekend getaway. Only downside was hot water for bathing. Somehow we had to constantly call the maintenance guy for hot water for bathing. Besides that everything was just superb. A huge lawn which can hold a gathering of almost 500 people. A somewhat dull gym & a beautiful swimming pool which was sadly shut due to covid. Ample of parking space .10 on 10 for this marvelous property . You can't afford to miss this while in Mahabaleshwar.

1) Room was not ready even we reached at resort at 2.00Pm, we had to wait to get room 'cleaned' After waiting we got a room which was smelling bad with lot of dust all over, even the bathroom's (so called) exhaust fan was spreading a dirty smell they didn't clean the room on second day also, I had to call them again and again to get it done 2) Service was super slow!!! I had to call them literally multiple times just to get water bottles, but if you are lucky enough then you will get them, or you just need to go to the reception to get water!! (or anything you need) 3) Food- Most disappointing part of our stay was food! Breakfast- very few options were there and all were tasteless!! (yes all were tasteless) Lunch/Dinner- They were skipping one or two things in the given order every time, and after asking for missing dish the answer was "you didn't place the order for that" or "I gave your order in the kitchen but looks like chef made a mistake" We even tasted sour roti made with spoiled atta!!! 4)Location is good 5)It is NOT worth spending the money which they are charging! ( We paid Rs.10,000/- per night in mid May)
