Holy Cross Church Mahabaleshwar — Attraction in Maharashtra

Me and my husband visited this church on a sunday 4th Mar, 2018. we were on a short trip from mumbai. as we dont want to miss the sunday church, we went here. but the mass time was over so we sat ouselves for 15 mind and prayed and read Bible. while we were about to finish, one man (aged above 55)came out of the room behind the Alter. he looked at us and said in such a rude manner to get out. he used to his fingers to telll us get out. I was hurt, but quietly we both moved out. my husband asked me why does he behave like that. I said, dont know lets go. when were out sitting our car, i saw the same man, came out of church stood on road side and started smoking. I was shocked, and asked him. Are you smoking? he said, yes, why do you ask? tuu chal. since he was in casual clothes, i am not sure what position he was into in the church. but he came out of the Alter room. Further, I shouted at him,you are not supposed to enter inside church if you are this kind of person. he least bothered and shouted back at me to go. I know, none of us are perfect in our habits and character. but a man who has access to be in church, and walk behind Alter is some one who is responsible in running the church. And such a man should be clean and pure. It says in the Bible for as to what all bad habits a true believer of Christ should avoid. I wonder how the CNI / CSI/ protestant congregtion allow such things to happen and appoint such ppl to access the Holy place....its a shame to how maharashtrian or this part of the region allow such ppl to run holy place. I will wait until this...

First of all, I'm not against any religion, or caste, however, this time it's really hard to believe that workers of this church was really rude to us. It was afternoon time, the church was open for visitors, 2-3 visitors were there, we sat there to pray, the fan was on before I visited. After 5 minutes, a lady came with a grumpy face and turned off the fan and said something rude in local language, I didn't argue as it was a holy place and creating a chaos will not be great at all. There was a contact number written to address grievances, as per that I tried to reach them, but as expected, no response was there. It's surprising to see such a rude behaviour in Lord's place! A peaceful & beautiful Roman Catholic Church located in the main market in Mahabaleshwar. It is under the Archdiocese of Poona. This church was built by the British in 1831 and is a popular tourist attraction. The facade of this church is simple. It's interior is quite simple having idols of the holy family, angels, wooden pews, a mural, a chandelier and a few stained glass window panes.
