The Leaf Resort Mahableshwar — Hotel in Maharashtra

We booked this property based on our excellent experience at “The Leaf, Munnar”, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. After reading all the reviews, we had high expectations. However, our experience did not meet them.

Arrival & Check-in: We arrived at the property around 10:30 PM, but no one was there to receive us. There were no signboards, making it difficult to locate the reception. The manager, with whom I had been in touch, did not answer my calls—perhaps because his office hours had ended.

Room & Amenities: The rooms were just okay. The bathroom faucet was hanging on a nail, and there was no space to keep shaving kit. Shampoo and body wash were not replenished automatically; we had to call reception daily to request refills.

Breakfast & Dining: Someone wrote in the review “Sumptuous breakfast” but the complimentary breakfast was disappointing. During our three-day stay, only four items were available daily—typically idli, poori, and bread. Unlike other hotels that offer a wide spread, even a simple boiled egg was refused by the staff, they did provide omelette on request. The restaurant area was cramped, making it difficult to find seating when all guests arrived at the same time. Additionally, there were no fans or air conditioning, making the space feel stuffy.

Housekeeping & Maintenance: Throughout our three-day stay, the bathroom towels and bed covers were never changed. Even for basic necessities like water bottle refills and tea/coffee sachets, we had to call reception.

View around the property is good, but the road leading to the property from the main road was in poor condition and required maintenance.
