As I entered Cafe Cocano It felt beautiful and very neat and clean. But no staff was there to guide us to our table. As i got my seat the waiter came and I asked him to tell me their specialities, I was told that they have got an off menu dish with is their speciality. The dish was veggies tossed in some light spices and topped with an IMPORTED CHEESE with a smoky flavour. I wasn't sure but I decided to give it a try. I was enjoying the view and suddenly i smelt something very off in the restaurant but i wasnt sure what it was, unfortunately it was our order. That moment me and my brother literally were looking for some fresh air but the dish was right in front of us. We decided to give it a try and it had a very pungent smell and very very salty. I tried a couple of bites and i decided to stop as my ramen arrived at that time. I just slid the plate on one side and started enjoying my ramen which was quite nice. I ordered a shake which looked very good and was yummy, I loved it. My brother ordered aglio olio which was average, But the smell of the appetiser was still there so I asked the waiter that this is not something that i was expecting and the manager arrived. He asked me what is the problem, I started telling him that this is not something I would like to eat as an appetiser becaue it's overpowering in taste he started asking me what do you mean by overpowering and i had to explain him about the same. One bite of it was enough for a person to tell that its not good. Apparently he started telling me this is how its made and that's how it tastes. He also arrogantly said that "if you dont like this you wont even like our cheese butter garlic bread because cheese and butter are both salty" thats what he told me. I was surprised that he literally told me that garlic bread is something that i wont like because its both the main ingredients are salty, But he didn't accept that if its that salty as this dish which i got served then dont you think that they are doing something wrong. He asked me to try it with some bread even though i told him that i didn't like it. If I was told that this dish is has a extremly strong cheesy pungent smell and very salty I would have cancelled it but they just told us that its veggies and Imported cheese and its very good. Eventually i called the waiter and asked him to take both the bread and the appetiser and give me a refund, I also asked him the price of the dish... and as expected it was the most expensive dish on and off their menu.at around ₹750. However, their response was disappointing. They brushed off my concern, offering no explanation or apology for the overcharging. Such disregard for customer rights and fair business practices is disheartening to say the least.
