Oh. I loved the Briteway! Flew in from Chandigarh for a few days before travelling back home to the UK. Scruffy, run down and interesting area with loads of character, beautiful little mosques, great local restaurants , markets and chai shops (the nearby Irani chai shop and Jaffer Bahai’s Delhi Darbar are a must!) Brilliant stay at the Briteway-efficient , swift check-in, amazing night and day managers on the desk, really good and professional, supported by a tight team of friendly security, attendants, cleaners & houseboys who seemed very happy in their work. These guys are great and will do anything for you. The front desk will give you all sorts of advice on the area and help with taxis etc. Eg, they assisted me with a local trader and I ended up with lots of incredible incense to take home at a great price! Lovely little room, really comfortable and thick mattress with a nice duvet and fresh, clean bed linen. In the 30° Bombay heat it was nice to have AC that was colder than the North Pole :D There’s a very clean (the whole hotel is clean as a whistle and very smart) en-suite bathroom with shower, crapper & sink. In the bedside table is a menu with a phone for ordering so if you like you can have a great breakfast in bed before heading out to local bazaars etc. it’s also very reasonably priced. Really nice to have toast and coffee in the morning before second-breakfast :)
All in all a great local hotel, well run with an amazing team and very homely. Highly recommended- and I’m very critical. It’s not 5* super-luxury but I’ve worked in hotels all my life & in many ways I’d rather stay somewhere like this than a swanky Dubai five star. These guys know their business and they host you with love & respect- you can’t fake that. My new home in Bombay- can’t wait to return...

Initially the manager seemed very accommodating asking when we are going to arrive and that our room is ready and waiting.
This did not last for long as we received a message from the manager saying our booking had been cancelled. To put this into context we had just landed in Mumbai at 12:00pm, therefore, leaving us with no place to stay for the night. We messaged back asking why our booking had been cancelled and the manager just responded with you are not here at your expected arrival time and we had not messaged to let him know we would be late. As you can imagine this would have been very hard to do 37,000 ft up in the air.
We decided to make our way to the hotel anyway to see if we could reinstate our booking. Upon arrival to the hotel we were greeted by the manager who is possibly the worst human being I have ever laid my eyes on. He offered no explanation as to why our reservation was cancelled and then proceeded to ignore us. So what he had clearly done is sold the toon at a higher price at our expense.
After the horrid interaction with the manager we were technically homeless in Mumbai and had to make our way back to the airport and book another hotel at a ridiculous price.
I would not recommend to anyone to stay at this hotel! Rooms looked nothing like the...

So we booked our stay from an online platform but we made a mistake instead of April, we booked for May. When we get there, the front desk guy was humble enough to provide us stay with same pricing as we booked and immediate help with free cancellation for May booking.
The rooms are compact in size but if you are traveling in budget, preferably looking for prime location in South Mumbai, and cleanliness is your priority then Hotel Briteway is the best choice for you.
They don't have much option with on their room service menu, but few snack option with reasonable pricing & tastes good.
Local railway station is just 1 KM away so easy to connect anywhere in Mumbai.
Taxi stand is just below the hotel, goes by meter.
Good dine-in spots available around the hotel, famous Mohammad Ali road is in walking distance if you are there to explore Street food.
Geyser, AC, Fans are working in condition, so you don't need to worry.
Thank you...
