Hotel New Shalimar - Grant Road — Hotel in Mumbai

I checked out on 27-8-17 from New shalimar hotel in Grant road, to go back to delhi, we had taken 5 rooms for our 2 days stay here. It was a very bad experience to say the least. Here's why:||1) Stinky small rooms: The rooms are small, untidy and stinky. The smell of moist closed rooms is almost killing. And small cockroaches everywhere is something you just can't miss in here.|2) Way to go to the 4th floor: you have to take stairs to the 1st floor then lift to 3rd floor then finally stairs to 4th floor. There is no alternative to this.|3) Room service: The room service is one of a kind, they won't even give drinking water in the night, even after calling the room service repeatedly, they kept saying that they are sending it, but it never arrived (this is what happened with me, this or a similar thing may happen with you).|4) Ill mannered staff: Here you would get to see the most ill mannered and arrogant staff that you can find, right from the sweepers to the so called hotel manager.|The combination of all the above points made my stay a very clumsy and bad experience.|And to put a cherry on the pie, the hotel manager tried to humiliate us when i tried to let them know what a terrible room service i had faced the night before.|All in all this hotel was the only mistake i made in Mumbai. Its managments behavior awful .The manger initially talked to me before entry into the hotel very sweetly but after entry after just a day it started asking for room rent even though at the time of entry I already gave advance and also told them my period of stay .The bed sheets pillow cover are dirty tv remote does not work(which was not changed after repetitive requests from us) broken flush ,gyser also broken. They behave with their customers as if they are runaways going to run away without paying...

Its a medium budget hotel.It will cost around 1800 per day for 3 people in a Non AC (3beds).Jt is near CST station and marine chowpati(beach) is just 1km away from the hotel.MMTS station is also at a walking distance and you can find some nice restaurants nearby like Mumbai Darbar and Raahat hotel.Hotel service is Good but complimentary breakfast is not available.Rooms are clean and it is one of the best hotels for a medium...
