Adiva Residency Beacon, Grant Road, Mumbai — Hotel in Mumbai

This hotel does not even deserve 1 star. We had to check in at 9.30 pm, but our flight got delayed so we reached the hotel at 12.30 am. We had informed the hotel prior so they could keep our room ready. But when we reached, we found that the room allotted to us could not be opened due to censor not working. We had to wait for half an hour with our 3 yr old sleeping on my shoulder. Next day morning we left the hotel for some work, and when we came back in the afternoon, the censor was still not working. We again left in the evening and at night again same issue. Everytime we would wait for 15-20 min as they would not send the key that could open the door. The bed size was way too small for the 3 of us. When we asked them to give us a bigger room that we saw on the internet, they said there was no such room, even when we said we will pay if there is anything extra. At the time of checkout we were told that bigger rooms were available and there might have been some miscommunication. The TV remote cells were not working and when we called them for the same, they took half an hour to come. Same thing happened when we asked for hand towel. There is no in-house kitchen in this hotel. They serve only breakfast if you have taken it in your booking. It is served in a small room with almost negligible variety and pathetic taste. And after all this if you complain at the reception, the guy will argue with you that these are maintenance issues so these are not their faults. This place was nice, clean and it modern amenities (Wi-Fi, shower, etc)… what was disappointing was all the small things in the lobby and front of the building that I didn’t like. You should know they just opened in late 2022 or early 2023, they all gave us different answers when we asked various people.

The driveway to the entrance is in the back, but they would not open the gates for anyone to be dropped off or picked up there. The restaurant and other amenities were not ready, it was run like a family hotel not a professional company. We were out all day & came back at 6pm to clean up since we were working American hours remotely, but that’s when house keeping came to clean. They asked us to step put, disappointed they didn’t come earlier. Lastly, the location is not in good neighborhood, we felt safe and didn’t have any issues but finding a nice restaurant was hard without driving out of the area, breakfast was challenging since we had to walk two blocks. We picked this hotel because it was close to family. Upon check in were told rooms are non smoking, which was great so we thought as non-smokers until we walked into our room, it stanked of RECENT cigarette smoke. Now you tell me how that happens when check out is 11 and check in 2pm. We arrived after 3pm and the rooms was already cleaned? There seemed to be difficulty assigning a room, as I requested a king bed and then we learnt only 3 floors are being occupied because the rest are still being built. I asked for quiet which has not been so, one can hear the closing/slamming of other room doors above and below, this hotel has not been built to satisfy quiet or avoid disturbing of others. I even hear my neighbor showering. The walls are dirty, moldy and cracked in various areas. Housekeeping and management should be accountable and ashamed of there work ethic. DO NOT...
