Hotel City Avenue — Hotel in Mumbai

Hotel staff opened room door while I was sleeping inside!! When I called the reception immediately to ask about this, their first answer was that he mistook it for washroom. ( Don't know since when staff doesn't know that it's a room and washroom door needs access key to enter) When I said that it makes no logical sense, their second excuse was that they rang bell for breakfast & I didn't answer and also since the night receptionist didn't see me get back the previous night, they were checking if I was in or not. ( I explicitly instructed beforehand not to wake me up for breakfast while I am there) Why do they need to open the door even if they thought I wasn't in, while I am checked in? Having had enough with the illogical talk of the receptionist, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager first said he will talk to his staff and call me back. And then called back and even before listening to what I had to say, said sorry and the same illogical reasons. Each time I tried speaking, he kept cutting me off and talking over me. And then with frustration says, "I have said sorry what more do you want?" I was angry and frustrated more with the way they spoke plus that it was illogical and they wanted me to accept that reasoning.

I asked for a way to speak with anyone else from the organisation. It's been 3 days since I mailed the same evening but have not received any response! The entire incident has been mentally disturbing. Hence the review!

Btw, breakfast is horrible and room cleaning doesn't happen even after following up with them. A peep under the bed will show you that it hasn't been...

this is one of the worst hotel i have ever visited .When i reached there already the receiptionist was arguing with a customer.I had already booked through oyo and they were not accepting the payment. they wanted extra money and they were very rude and talked in a bad manner. the person with specs he was always arguing for anything we ask. As i travelled long way back from kerala to mumbai he is not even considering any humanity towards us. Finally i agreed and when i saw the room it was totally dirty especially ,the pillow cover and bed sheets were full of dirt. At the same time i informed the receptionist and the room boy came and told us he can arrange another room near by and it was also in same pathetic condition.Then i informed the hotel receptionist that i am checking out from the hotel and they forced me to stay in the hotel and also they needed full amount that is 3800 for the 15 minutes stay. I think these people are looting money from others and its there trick to fool us. The main thing is this hotel has no lift and also very congested rooms. When we asked the Managers number they were not giving us and they needed cash in hand they didnt accepted googlepay or Debit card payement. Dont ever come to this hotel its like hell.Atlast i paid 2800 for just 15 minutes and for there rude behavior. These kinds of hotels should be banned.kindly take action against them. Actually my...

My Uncle had to stay here s he had Cancer operation the next day and the hospital was nearby. Considering that the hotel was newly opened and we paid the premium charges 9k for 2 days stay, we were expecting atleast the basic services. But on the contrary, we did not had water in the taps, no electricity and when we were asking for help at the reception or the people, they just gave us a lollypop of 10 mins and again 10 mins, but I guess their 10 mins are not over yet, after I checked out. On having a one on one conversation with the hotel owner about the service , he was extremely rude and he said that "Go ahead and complain in consumer court or so, I dont give a dam" He did not even bothered about our issues and me with a patient, he should have been polite enough, but he behaved like Ambani's father or so. If they were not logistically ready to cater the customer they should have not opened the hotel, also the main lock of the room was dysfunctional. This was just close to the hospital so I choosed the hotel, but worst behavior by any owner. Absolute shame...
