I regret to inform you that my stay at Hotel Shalimar, managed by Fab Chain, was a disappointing ordeal. Despite booking through Agoda for a double bed, upon arrival, we found only single beds available. The condition of the room further aggravated our dissatisfaction – dirty rooms and used bed sheets were not what we expected from a reputed hotel.
What compounded the issue was the lack of communication channels to address our concerns; there seemed to be no way to get in touch with Fab Chain directly. Our request for a cancellation based on the discrepancy of bed size and unhygienic conditions was met with an unreasonable demand for additional payment, despite the fact that we booked – and were charged for – a double occupancy room.
It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for Hotel Shalimar, or for Fab Chain. When we rightfully refused to stay in such conditions, we were denied a basic courtesy: a refund or adequate resolution. Even when Agoda's representative, Logan, attempted to mediate, the matter was shut down by Mr. Ravi from Fab Chain, who inflexibly refused any refund or change without incurring further charges.
It is deplorable that patrons must endure such neglect and mishandling of what should be a straightforward service. The inability for guests to contact Fab Chain in these circumstances is a glaring oversight that needs immediate rectification. This was not just a minor inconvenience, but a critical lapse in service that resulted in both financial penalty and undue stress.
Hotel guests trust in the standard of the name they book with, and Fab Chain's management of Hotel Shalimar has unmistakably failed to uphold this trust. I implore potential customers to consider these grievances before booking with them. I, for one, will not be returning nor recommending their services. It is my hope that this review prompts Fab Chain to take significant strides in improving their customer service protocols and cleanliness standards, to prevent further disappointment...
Read moreOn 7th of December I travelled all the way from Kochi to Mumbai and I have already arranged accommodation on FABHOTELS SHALIMAR through Goibibo. When I reached there I was told by the hotel that all the rooms are fully booked and they have already sent cancellation requests to online bookings way back. But the irresponsible Fabhotels and Goibibo never even bothered to let me know regarding this and I had to suffer finding another hotel by myself. I contacted customer care on goibibo and fabhotels and they ensured me that I receive full refund as soon as possible. After 2 days I never received a callback from goibibo and when I called them, they mentioned that I need to wait 24-48 hours inorder to initiate refund. I have been calling the goibibo customer care every 2 days since I will never receive a callback and they keep on mentioning the 24-48 hours callback. I have already suffered a lot due to the irresponsible and bad deeds of goibibo. I am still waiting for a reply from goibibo. I even asked to talk to the superior officials and for that too they told me he will callback in 2 hours which never happened. NEVER BOOK FROM GOIBIBO AND FABEXPRESS due to the lack of proper service from the customer support. Its been 2 weeks and Iam still waiting for at least a reply from these people. Rooms: One of the worst possible rooms. Stinky like drainage. Sheets are all stained and burnt holes from cigarettes, towels are not fresh. The rooms are filled with mosquitoes as big as honey bees and dust everywhere.
Service: complementing the kind of room worst service. Steel Plates provided with those partition type really small.
Location: it is in the corner of the subway with a dance bar in the ground floor. I hope an idea is generated in your mind. If you step out random people come and approach you (for adult stuff 18+) I hope you can understand what I want to say.very noisy.
Altogether if you are going there from another city be prepared. A big set of surprises(not pleasant) will be waiting for you. So I simply recommend you people not to opt this hotel at any...
