Pathetic place with super arrogant and equally pathetic staff.||It was terrible that they were quick enough to refund the amount and ask to leave for highlighting issues.||Foul smell in the room, Stained pillow covers and blankets, Dust everywhere, Unclean walls, dirty and stainer curtains, uncleaned walls with stains from someone spitting on them, AC set in such a way that one can either let it open for a clear view for anyone from outside OR if we choose to cover it, you cover the AC vents as well.|Staff clearly mentioned "These are laundry stains and we cannot do anything about it". Upon showing other filthy and unhygienic issues, they made me wait for almost an hour only to end up refunding the amount when I denied waiting anymore. Not because they cared for me BUT they cared more for the other guests waiting in the lobby to check in. ||These people were so shameless that they asked me to wait outside the lobby in the sun so that I dont wait in the lobby (AC) with the other guests as I did not accept the dirty room. ||The only good thing that happened is that they returned my money gradually after again trying to create a scene by asking to wait more as they "DID not have change to return in case" (Of course they refunded coz they know all these points were true and the condition was not suited for...

Read moreI stayed in this place because I had to (bathrooms being renovated back at home, I'm a local)
Calling this place a dump would be an insult to all those benign garbage dumps who stay in their place in inconspicuous corners. This one is anything but inconspicuous.
This place reeks of damp walls and cigarette smoke. Staff is unhelpful, sometimes even outright clueless. There was a bag of trash in the ground floor corridors the first night I arrived. A service trolley hasn't been moved from the corridor my room was in (the 2nd floor) for ages now.
Need I say more? The room was dark, cramped and smelled foul. The bed had a horrible mattress and stained sheets. The bathroom is...... catastrophic. There wasn't even any soap inside the soap dispensers. And the cherry on top? Electricity went out the morning after. These folks don't even have backup generators.
Of course, what I was even expecting in 2000 rupees. Obviously, the place turned out to be a dump. Don't waste your time here. If you're a tourist visiting Mumbai, save your time, energy and money and splurge on some nicer places. Like the Radisson in MIDC which is only about 15 minutes away. Or the Novotel opposite The Leela's old site.
P.S- these guys don't even stock toothpaste for their...
