If you’re looking out for a great spread of food with various cuisines, Mynt - Vivanta is here to your rescue!!
Ambience - 5/5 : The restaurant is quite spacious and gives luxurious Santorini vibes. They have a pastel colours (majorly blue) + white color theme, so one can plan their outfits accordingly. Try to get a corner round table which overlooks the entrance view, it promises a very own private space plus lesser people wandering around.
Food - 4.5/5 : The restaurant has a huge spread which includes Indian, Italian, Chinese and Continental cuisines. They began the buffet by getting us a welcome drink, it was a cool watermelon juice which definitely helps beat the summer heat. Next up, they served us some chicken soup post which we explored the buffet ourselves. The Indian Appetisers were the best ones out of all - the cheesy poppers and fish koliwada was our favourite!! We also tried out the salad spread but since they were a little cold, we didn’t enjoy them much. Just beside the salad counter, they also had a potato chaat something we really craved for and wanted to have some more. Coming to the chinese cuisine, the fish in the black beans sauce was the showstopper!! Perfectly cooked fish and the flavour of the sauce complimented each other so well. Kudos to the team for putting up such a delicious item!! The Indian Cuisine for the main course had a Maharashtrian theme going on for the lunch buffet. From Aamti & Bharli Vaangi in Vegetarian portions to Methi Chicken Malai & Fish Curry in non vegetarian, they had it all with the top notch taste. There was a special Italian kind of theme also at the spread that included a delicious caramelised onion and potato cake in tomato pepper sauce, I have devoured this and would crave it for a while I guess. Highly disappointed with mac and cheese though, the item was too runny, the restaurant can improve on this! Now comes the best part - Desserts!! There was a bengali sweet dessert which has a yellowish topping, this is something we had twice. The item had the perfect amount of sweetness. The cheesecake was another highlight here.
Staff - 5/5 : The staff is quite polite and helpful. They looked out for us and also enquired if we needed any help. They also brought in a small dessert to celebrate my birthday after asking them to do so. I would take this space to specifically thank Yogesh, Varad and Tetei to serve us the best possible experience at the restaurant. Specially mentioning Shrutika, thanks for turning to us after seeing us struggling to take pictures.
Thanks a ton for the luxurious as well as 'feels like home' experience, one can definitely have a cheerful lunch outing here at...

Read moreDoesn't seem like a TATA TAJ HOTEL. I am writing this review while I'm still staying here. I booked directly on the Taj portal Just 14 hrs prior to my check in, it was a package with breakfast and buffet for a major meal. Checkin it was smooth but no welcome drink or water offered very unlike the Taj Hospitality. After check-in was told buffet not available for lunch, will be available for dinner. Hotell is nice, rooms are nice and new, we have a leakage issue in our room washroom hoping house keeping will rectify it. Now the main disappointing part. The major meal dinner buffet was also cancelled so we were asked to choose from a set menu at the SWIRL restaurant and we did. The staff at the restaurant is very unprofessional and don't know how to take care of their guests. We were 3 persons but we sat on a table for 2, so they served us food and placed all the dishes on the next table behind us, after that no one even bothered if we need another helping or need more bread or anything else. We had ordered 1 Roti each so no more Roti was offered, we ordered steam rice but were given brown rice, the gravy dish mentioned and served was different and since no one was there to serve or take orders we did not get a replacement. My daughter asked for garlic bread and only 1 pc was given and no one to serve another pc, we asked for lemon, but again till the end of the meal not served, was disgusted with this kind of staff service and behaviour so waited and finally decided to leave the table with an incomplete meal. My daughter wanted dessert so she has to get up and go to the reception and request for it and also complained about the services, they did apologize but next morning at the breakfast buffet all was same, stale fruits, cold dishes being served. Seems either they are inexperienced or over burdened with work. Whatever very unlike the other Taj Hotels where i frequent at least 3 times a year and other hotels as I am an avid business traveller, I donot write reviews...
