BUNK HUB hostel — Hotel in Puducherry

I have booked the hostel by watching an Instagram reel. Before confirming, I also checked the reel comments and Google reviews, and then paid the advance for 5 members. Since it was a long weekend, the amount was a little high. After reaching the bus stop, we decided to take an auto, even though the hostel was nearby. When we showed the location to the auto driver, he was shocked. He told us that the area was a fisherman’s locality and not a good place to stay. He even said, “For this amount, you could easily book a resort or villa.” Hearing this, we got scared because we were five girls traveling to a new place. We immediately called the hostel owner and requested to cancel or refund the booking. But the owner clearly said that cancellation or refund was not possible, and instead suggested we come and check the hostel in person. At first, we were hesitant because the auto driver refused to take us there, which made us feel it could be a scam. Finally, we arranged transport and went to the hostel. To our surprise, the place was actually safe. It was a middle-class homestay area, close to Rock Beach. The hostel had several other roommates, including foreigners, and the environment was friendly and trustworthy.
