This place is easily accessible by everyone and it's in center of an city. Cultivated in such an huge area which takes around 2 hours to visit it completely. The entry ticket is 20 rupees for adult and have no idea for kids. Praking space is good. The entry gate looks huge but the government should take proper steps so that public or road side vendors don't put their shop in front of the gate which spoils the beauty of the gate. So I advice government to look at this. Other than this we have an toy train which is an short ride but one can enjoy it for rupees 10 rupees. People come here to take beautiful photos and few pre wedding photo shoots were also going on. We also had an aquarium inside the botanical garden which is accessible for rupees 10, which has an decent number for fishes and fish species. The place which is cool if you visit on summer days is the aquarium. I request to avoid sunny days to visit this place. In summer the place is so hot and you can't even walk for 10 minutes, i suggest one to take an bottle of water, umbrella/cap which might help. Also we have an children park where kids can enjoy but mostly adults use them ๐. An place to visit if you don't have anything else in Pondicherry. Definitely youngsters don't prefer this place on Pondicherry.

This garden is truly impressive. The ambiance is serene and inviting, perfect for families with children. Botanical garden located in the main road and amble car bike parking is available just next to the main door. Parking is free and supervised by security. All visitors must visit this park. Very big, bigger than Bharathi park Entry fees at 3 places. Main entry adult 20rs child 10rs. Toy train ride adult 10rs child 5 rs. Fish aquarium adult 10rs child 5rs cellphone camera 15rs. Good points: Lots of trees and toy train ride. Kids play instruments are working well . Toy train ride is good and clean inside train. Fish aquarium, fish tanks are maintained properly. During our visit , fish water is clean and all fishes turtles are healthy & brisk. But outside lighting and maintenance needs improvement. Bad points: Main gate is always closed. So from outside you can't see it's opening or not. Entry in the left side. Atleast put poster or board to inform the visitor about OPEN or CLOSE. Water for washing hand not available. Rest rooms are there not maintained properly as no water is coming from tap. No good quality eatery inside even to provide bottled drinking water. Flower park and other major attractions not at all maintained. Botanical garden needs water which is lagging I guess.

The place has an entrance fee to get in as they need it for maintaining the garden. But is it maintained? - nope.. All I can see was dry flowers and I don't even know why they call it a botanical garden. As soon as you enter, you see the train station from where they send a train to the places around the garden.. But we didn't ride it as we decided to walk. Then the first thing we see is the green space (wrong name) where it ws so small that it takes seconds to circle around and get out. You can see the plants but I felt like it was all so common that you have seen them before. Then out of that you see some. Sort of viewing area of sorts, where one part of it was maintained and other part was completely dry. It was not good to look at. Then came the aquarium. We had to pay another entrance fee to see then. They had some good variety of them, but in the end, I didn't feel like they were maintaing them well. Some of them didnt have the details of the fish as well. Overall I feel Like I did not come in the right time.. Maybe they have some activities or during the rainy season it will actually be really good.. But when we visited in April it was not worth it.

This botanical garden is situated very near to New bus stand in Pondicherry. The entrance fee is Rs.20 for each person. We can spend for 2 hours utmost here. The parking space is quite large and vehicles can be parked here free of cost The place is soo big and there are many bigggg trees... It is soo pleasant to walk under those large trees and sit on the benches There is play area for kids too and toy train for 3mins ride over the garden with extra ticket of Rs.10 per person but if the toy train will be closed by 5.30 pm...if you are taking tickets see the time and buy as it creates unnecessary disappointment as the toy train operation closes. But there are mirror Hut, and aquarium and Lotus pond but all these are not available for public visit as they are not maintained well.... Many small plants are died and all small plants needs serious care There is large place with all the dried leaves and broken branches. The visitors count is very less....once the maintainence is improved it may attract many visitors

There is seperate parking inside and the parking fee is free of cost and Entrance ticket is 20 bucks for Adult and 10 bucks for Children. As this Botanical garden is not that much big when compared to other botanical gardens. Even for taking photos, only very less spots are there in this garden. Aquarium is one of the attracting place in this garden, but there not much varities of fishes or sea animals. Musical fountain seems like it's not been using from so many days. And the path to walk is not good in the right corner end, it's full of mud. This Botanical garden will be good if the maintenance is good, maybe this mess has happened because of the cyclone came in last month, who knows, but they have to work on it very badly. Final conclusion is this place is just OK, neither good nor better. Not a mandatory place to visit.
