There are selected few hospitality brands in the world who really know their business. A huge part of that is knowing how really get to the heart of what it means to be hospitable with certain values & principles to guide that effort.
I've stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Pune twice now & to say the least; the experience goes beyond excellence. The massively designed architecture & exquisite decor is really tastefully done. Not something you see as a striking feat of a hotel in most luxury hotels.
I was greeted by the lovely Wynnona from the from front desk who is all you need after a 2 hour flight Delhi to Pune. This girl is Professional but she exudes confidence, knowledge & the most warm/welcoming spirit ever. It's almost contagious. Within 5mins, she had everything ready for me to get settled my room. I've never witnessed a turn around time that fast. It's unbelievable how accurate & efficient W is at her work. Travelling as a musician, I carry a lot of heavy gear with me. Before I could even say anything about it, W had the bellboy waiting next to my gear to be identified and had it sent to me within a min of me being in the room. That kind of punctuality is kind of intimidating (in a good way) considering I'm one for always being present before time.
The rooms are a great cross between ergonomics & functionality refined with taste & a very definitive sense of design. Being a design specialist it's in my nature to notice color, shapes, contours etc everywhere my eyes go. It is a visually soothing room that just works perfectly with the amount of lighting in the room. The placement of the bar, tables, sofas etc is so well done that nothing conflicts in your movement around the room giving the feeling of extra space inevitably which is a clever play on a customers mind. It's smart & much needed in today's time. The bed is a place where you can literally sink in and be transported to the most comforting universe ever. The bathroom, toilet, power room & tub have a seperate area & the walk-in closet/luggage area is bang opposite which again I feel a design layout perfection. 3 massive dedicated areas in a room that still gives off the feeling of open space is just genius.
The food! Both times I've visited the RC, I had a custom made Non-Veg Aglio Olio & the Butter Garlic Prawns. If you know your Italian cuisine, you know the Aglio Olio isn't an easy dish to perfect and neither are prawns. I don't know how the kitchen did it but the chef was clearly on top of his/her game. 2 times in a row now for me & it seems to be only getting better with each visit. The food was balanced, packed with flavour, served at the right temperature in just the right quantity cooked to perfection & most importantly - it came faster than I could wash up and change. It doesn't take much to convince one that when food is done right, it speaks to your soul and this panel of chefs and kitchen staff is like an all star band of Rockstars!
There are 2 venues at the hotel. Aasmana the rooftop bar where I performed as a Dj/Live act & Ukiyo which I visited to see what's it's all about. It's incredible what this hotel has achieved with these 2 places. 2 absolutely different & distict vibes with admirably curated art, design & ambience. The layout, the subtleties of decor and some really insane use of space makes both these places a very enriching experience of cuisine & environment.
Mr.Raj is senior staff at the hotel. He's a tall dude, dressed sharply and like W, exudes confidence, professionalism & a certain kind of cool. Almost like he's known you. His biggest quality is being able to anticipate the needs of his guests before it comes to him. It's crazy how he does it but that's a Superstar Hotelier right there in my books.
The host of Aasmana is Liza. A tall,gorgeous & dynamic personality that has the most contagious vibe. She effortlessly goes about taking care of her guests who leave with smiles from ear to ear.

I did my reservations by filling a form and calling them up and it was handled perfectly well by Mr Manoj Thawani. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff named Mr Hritik Puri and Rakesh, setting the tone for an exceptional experience.The hospitality at this hotel is unparalleled. Mr Puri escorted us to our room and I must mention every detail, from the elegant décor to the personalised service, was thoughtfully curated to ensure a memorable stay. They decorated the room with a tent and balloons with some chocolates, muffins and a fruit plate to enjoy. The twins were ecstatic and overwhelmed. The staff went above and beyond to cater to my every need, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my time there. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food served at the hotel's restaurants. From gourmet breakfasts to indulgent dinners, each dish was expertly prepared using the finest ingredients. I must mention Mr Shree Goswami for taking care of my food at their roof top restaurant Asmaana and making it special by recommending signature dishes of their restaurant named Asmaana which were dal aasmaana, galauti kebabs, butter chicken, lamb chops and garlic naans. It was a delectable meal. Chef Manoj is one of the best amongst all ensuring the kids loved their meals and he made many dishes which were delicious and attractive. What truly sets this hotel apart is its polite and attentive staff. Mr Rupesh was always around at The Three Kitchens restaurant and was extremely polite to ask us if we needed anything else. They have a beautiful long pool which my twins enjoyed and lovely spa, salon and a fitness center too. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, was friendly, courteous, and eager to assist with any request. Their genuine kindness and professionalism made me feel incredibly welcome and valued during my stay.I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made my stay at the hotel so special. From the chefs who prepared delicious meals to the housekeeping staff who ensured my room was always pristine, each person played a vital role in creating a memorable experience. I wish to acknowledge Mr Wajid, their IT guy for immediately sorting out my room’s internet speed which was a bit slow and with one call, he immediately fixed it. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication and hospitality. I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to the General Manager of this exquisite five-star hotel. Under Mr Nishanth Vishwanath’s leadership, the hotel has truly excelled in every aspect of hospitality. I applaud Nishanth, the General Manager for assembling and leading such an outstanding team. Our journey to your hotel began under less than ideal circumstances. Our electric vehicle's battery had completely depleted, leading us to have the car towed to the nearest charging station, which was at your hotel in Yerwada, Pune. Upon arrival, I inquired with your lobby security about the charging station and was reassured about its availability. However, the challenge was to bring in the towing van, which required special permission. This was promptly addressed, and we were allowed to use the service entry to avoid any height clearance issues.
The series of challenges we faced with the car's charging were met with swift and efficient solutions thanks to Mr. Devesh, your security head. From troubleshooting internet issues at the charging station to personally assisting with the charging process, Mr. Devesh demonstrated remarkable initiative and resourcefulness. His willingness to reach out to the Charge Zone company and Tata Motors EV helpline significantly expedited the resolution process.
Furthermore, Mr. Devesh's quick thinking in obtaining the necessary tools to reset the car's battery was nothing short of impressive. His actions greatly reduced our stress and turnaround time. The fact that he managed to facilitate the fast charging of our vehicle, despite initial technical hiccups, speaks volumes of his commitment to guest satisfaction.
This entire episode, which lasted about an hour, was handled with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to assist. It is evident that the Ritz Carlton's reputation for exceptional service is well-deserved and consistently upheld by dedicated staff members like Mr. Devesh.
Following this experience, I was compelled to further indulge in the hospitality of your hotel by dining at your restaurant. Just like the service we received earlier, the meal and the service were exemplary.
Please accept my sincere thanks for turning a potentially stressful situation into a memorable encounter with the highest standards of hospitality. I look forward to more such experiences in the future and will certainly recommend Ritz Carlton, Pune, to friends and family.
