Three Kitchens Restaurant and Bar definitely lives up to its name of providing food of 3 different cuisines! When I and my family visited, they were serving Asian, Indian and European cuisine. Not sure if this changes very often.
Hygiene: Well, with that being said, I must say that they follow strict protocols to ensure Hygiene is maintained. In a COVID-19 situation, it feels very safe to come and eat here. The restaurant is very spacious and so, the dining tables are positioned at a good distance from each other.
Staff and Attention to detail: The staff is very courteous and attentive. My son brought some cake and didn't get the dessert spoon along with it. The staff quickly realised this and got a dessert spoon for him. They are also very thoughtful about what food/drink they are getting for whom. To give an example, I just told the staff to get an Orange Juice for the kid. When they brought the Orange Juice, the proportion was just enough for a kid to drink and it didn't include ice! This is exactly what was in my mind, but somehow I missed to give those extra instructions. But, the staff already it figured out. I think that's the kind of attention to detail you get when you visit this restaurant!
Ambiance: As I mentioned previously, Three Kitchens is a very spacious restaurant. The moment you enter the Hotel you feel as if you have entered a modern European palace! There are sculptures in certain corners, there's beautiful paintings on the walls and just enough lamps to light up the floor! The ceilings are way high and the pillars and walls supporting the ceilings are intricately designed! Trust me when I say, every picture that you take of yourself or with your friends and family is going to give you that 'Royal' vibe!
Food: Buffet Lunch and Dinner is served every weekday. Brunch on weekends. Live counters include Pasta, Tandoor and Waffles. Do try the Lamb shanks from the Asian cuisine counter. Strawberry Chat is something new that I say at the Indian Cuisine counter, and it did taste awesome, so, do try it out! In the dessert section, you can choose to take a slice of up to 4 freshly bakes cakes!. Although, there were just 3 options in Ice Cream flavours (Vanilla, Chocolate and Almonds). There's froyo (Blue Berry and Mango) and of course some Indian dessert like Kaju Katli etc.
Overall: In my opinion this will be my go to place if I want to have Good Food, not worry about Hygiene because of COVID-19 or in General and want courteous service for myself and my family! Also, if I want to take some really amazing pictures...
Read moreWe visited Three Kitchens at The Ritz-Carlton on Thursday, 29th May, placing our complete trust in the standards, service, and global reputation associated with the brand. For families like ours, who strictly follow a vegetarian lifestyle rooted deeply in religious and ethical beliefs, dining out is not just a matter of taste — it's about trust, sanctity, and spiritual integrity.
Given the stature of The Ritz-Carlton, one naturally expects zero margin for error, especially in matters where dietary purity is non-negotiable. Unfortunately, that very foundation was shaken during our visit. From the vegetarian buffet section, we unknowingly consumed a dish labeled as “mushroom ,” which was later discovered to be cream chicken. The pieces were small, almost unidentifiable, making it impossible to visually recognize the presence of meat.
The emotional impact of this incident is beyond explanation. Most distressing is the fact that my mother-in-law, who is Amritdhari (initiated Sikh) — for whom consuming meat is strictly forbidden as per her faith — unknowingly consumed chicken due to this negligence. This was a direct violation of her sacred religious vows and has caused immense psychological and emotional distress to her and our entire family.
While I did escalate the matter to the manager, Mr. Debtanu, who acknowledged the lapse and ensured senior management was informed, and though the staff were courteous in addressing us post-incident, the irreversible damage was already done. No gesture of hospitality can undo what has been consumed or the mental trauma suffered.
This situation is not merely about deficiency in service — it is about: Gross negligence Mental and emotional harassment Violation of religious freedom and ethical dietary beliefs
It raises serious questions: Can psychological and emotional distress caused by such negligence be reimbursed? What safeguards are in place to ensure this never happens again to any family like ours?
As a result of this incident, I have lost all faith in the brand’s commitment to dietary safety and religious sensitivity. What has happened once can happen again. Trust, once broken, is hard to rebuild — and in this case, it has been completely lost. Based on our experience, I would rate this visit as 1 star, solely due to the gravity of the error and the personal violation we...
Read moreFour of us had the lunch buffet on 21 Feb 2024. It started off disappointingly. The classic Singapore Sling was not available. The Bloody Mary was served without a celery stick. The tonic did not have a fizz. Svami is an overpriced and poor imitation of Schweppes. The classic Margarita was fine. The food choice from the three kitchens: Continental - Indian - Oriental is huge. Dissapointingly the oriental section had only veg and chicken dimsum. Once we brought this to the notice of Chef Vishwanath, he quickly rustled up prawn dimsum, prawns in butter garlic sauce and even an excellent steamed Chilean sea bass in soy sauce with ginger and coriander. Bravo! We switched from cocktails to Genesis Chilean Chardonnay and also tried the Sula Dindori Chardonnay to compare. From the European section we chose the air dried ham (Serrano Spanish if I'm not mistaken) with sun melon and guava slices. Yummy. The others found the asparagus to be tender and a good accompaniment to the salami and cold cuts. None even ventured into the Indian kitchen. The Black Forest cake was excellent with whole cherries as it should. The finale of XO Cognac and black coffee was a fitting end to the lunch. The service team has the will but needs better skills. Vishwanath, realizing our disappointment with the food choice, very quickly offered us much appreciated alternatives. That extra mile to genuine hospitality should have been walked by the F&B Manager, not the chef. A disappointing start ended on a very happy and pleasureable note. For those with big appetites, get there at noon and enjoy a gourmet spread till closing. The food spread will...
