I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the deplorable and unprofessional conduct I encountered during my stay at Bloom Hotel Jalandhar.
On the evening of November 17, I booked a room through a friend at your hotel, and despite being assured during the booking process that breakfast was included. After checking in, we had dinner at the hotel and retired to our room.
To my utter dismay, at 11:00 PM, the hotel reception called, claiming that the dinner we had enjoyed was not part of our package and insisted on immediate payment. Despite my assurance to pay the bill during check-out, but a staff member knocked on our door at 11:15 PM, demanding payment with complete disregard for the late hour and the fact that my unwell brother was with me. I was not sure that what was the emergency to collect the payment in middle of the night. I paid him the bill but I was so much upset with unprosessional behaviour of your staff. I wrote a complaint on their mail id but even after many days they didn't reply.
I am a journalist and I have travelled all most every state of the country and privileged to stay in best hotels, but never seen such things anywhere. This level of unprofessionalism in a supposedly reputable hotel is absolutely intolerable. This incident not only tarnishes the reputation of chain of Bloom Hotel, but also goes against the ethics of the entire hotel industry. Considering that Bloom Hotel has multiple branches in India and globally, such behavior is entirely unexpected.

Read moreA hotel with a hospital vibe: So the Bloom hotels have taken this newly made building on lease for five years, It is obviously owned by a doctor who plans to turn it into a hospital after the lease is over and the entire building is made considering this in mind. The showers sometimes get stuck, and electricity went out several times also a shortcut happened when I used my hairdryer. The hotel staff unapologetically lets nobody accompany the guests to the room, saying "no outside guests allowed". The entire place is so yellow that sometimes the eyes start to feel dizzy, it's better during the sunlight but gets a bit too much when you are inside the room and watching tv or something. The windows have a blur effect on so yeah, you cannot see what's outside. Besides this the room service is fine, and they are responsive in case of any issues, the staff also calls you to take permission before cleaning the room (I am not sure if this is common in India). Otherwise the rooms are decent, with a little less space which is enough if it's just one adult or two adults with very less luggage. The location is easily approachable and around a bunch of hospitals which comes handy in case of...
Read moreHORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. WASTED ₹11,880 gone down the drain. I had guests who flew in from Italy and I booked a room for them. First they don’t have any way to book a room directly so I had to book from third party (goibibo) and they took full advance payment. After that when I came to check in the AC inside was off and it was horrible hot. Next, they took the ID proof of my guests (their Italian passports) but they did not give the room because the guests didn’t provide OCI ids. Before this the guests stayed in Marriott and even Marriott didn’t ask for OCI. After everything and waiting till 1 am I took my guests to another hotel, but the manager said that they will refund my money if I contact goibibo people. After being on call with goibibo the next day they said that the hotel manager has refused to refund the money. I did all this and then they refused to refund my money and didn’t give the room. Horrible experience. Never come...
