Hotel Royal Grand Heritage — Hotel in Puri

BAKWAAS HOTEL.. WORST SERVICE..

All the hotel staff was very rude & not cooperative.

The receptionist was very cunning. She changed & added 1 day extra in the booking date without asking/informing me, the date which i filled in Guest detail booking form. My booking date was 13 to 15 April 2023. She changed it to 13 to 16 April 2023 by overwriting it & blaming to me that sir you have changed the date. I have told them before at the time of filling form that my retuning ticket is already confirmed on 15 April but after that also she changed the date on my booking form.

Normally people understand that Check-in time is 12pm and Check-out time is 12 noon but they didn’t mentioned the checkin & checkout & time in the whole hotel premises just to cheat there guest if book this hotel directly. Also they didn’t informed me the checkin & checkout

Staff of this hotel is not committed to there own words. Mr. Anjan confirm me about the booking date that i can change the booking date before checkin but Mr. Deepak said a big NO & told me that he is a new staff. I had called to talk with Mr. Deepak but Mr. Anjan picked the phone & he told me that i am Deepak this side, this is not good as they want to misguide there guest.

Reception staff (Male) was arguing with me every whenever i told them to change the bat mat & to clean the washroom. Reception staff me if you have done your booking through online website like MMT or Goibibo, then we can cancel your booking anytime before your check in. 😡

In 2 days of spending in this hotel there staff always switch off the MCB of AC of every room. Whether you are in room or not. This hotel is 4 storey building but & mostly every room is equipped with the AC & senior staff was giving me the BAKWAAS 🤮 excuse that we don’t have the sufficient Electricity capacity (KW) to run more that 5 AC in whole hotel. They all are doing this because they just want to save there money or may be owner of this hotel directed them to do this type of cheap activity of switching off the MCB of AC

Housekeeping staff didn’t gave me the towel after asking them for 2 times. When i told them to viper the bathroom floor as the floor was slippery, the housekeeping staff told me that we will only do the housekeeping once in 24 hour.

I have taken the room package with breakfast but when we visited the restaurant on the 4th floor for the breakfast then they told me that we don’t have buffet system & you have to choose between these 2 option of breakfast which is North Indian & American breakfast. There are too much limitations for the breakfast choice & also you can take only one of any dish , no additional serving allowed for the breakfast. They also force their guest that you have to pay their restaurant bill in restaurant only just after the lunch or dinner. They are not ready to add the food bill in the room bill. I will never book this hotel again & request others also not to waste...

I stayed in their property in Dec 2024, for 3 nights during our religious visit to Puri, and our experience was very good.

I booked two super deluxe room in their hotel through Cleartrip in October, however Cleartrip messed it up by cancelling one room in November at their own without intimating me and we got to know about it when we reached hotel for check-in. As it was a peak season there were no rooms available, the hotel was fully sold out till 2 Jan 2025, but thanks to the hotel staff they provided comfortable additional beddings so that our full family can stay in one room. $$ If you want to ruin your trip, book your holidays with Cleartrip $$.

Location: The hotel is at the prime location steps away from the main traffic signal, so if you are coming with your vehicle or taxi, call the restaurant before reaching to that signal as the traffic police won’t allow your vehicle to cross the signal in the direction of the hotel, the hotel will come and confirm you as a guest and then traffic police will release the vehicle. Not a problem if you are using Auto or rickshaw.

Rooms: The super deluxe room we stayed in was very spacious and clean, with a good outside road view. We were a family of 5, and after accommodating all of us there was sufficient space to walk around, so you can imagine the size. The room was sound proof, so even though the hotel is on the main road, you will feel absolute silence in the room. The room was equipped with all the required amenities.

Service: We really liked the behavior of all the hotel staff we interacted with right from housekeeping to restaurant. It’s a small property of 16/17 rooms I believe, so the service was very quick, housekeeping and in room food order were always delivered within time. The staff was very courteous.

Dining: We really liked breakfast and dinner; we didn’t have lunch. I think their restaurant is famous for their food, as we observed many outside families dining during weekends.

Overall a good hotel to stay and dine, if you are visiting Puri.

I along with my Family recently stayed in Super Deluxe Rooms at Hotel Royal Grand in Jagannath Puri and I was very impressed with the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Puri.

Being from Delhi we need delicious food, and it's not easy to find it however we did our breakfast and dinner at the hotel only and it's worth it .
