This is a beautiful place to visit! It's not just a museum but a lively marketplace where craftsmen create their art right before your eyes. You'll find a Japanese Pagoda, Buddha Statue, and various artisan shops here. A leisurely 30-minute stroll is all it takes to explore.

The ambiance is serene, surrounded by sculptures and flowering trees, making it a sacred and picturesque spot. The cleanliness is impeccable, adding to its charm. Don't miss out on the local side tour, easily arranged by booking an auto. Normally auto charge 1000 rupees for side seen.

Undoubtedly, this place is underrated. It's a haven for art and craft enthusiasts, offering remarkable craftsmanship that everyone should experience. Just remember, they close for lunch from 12 to 3 pm, so plan accordingly.

The Buddhist temple within provides a peaceful sanctuary, elevated for a broader view of the surroundings, imparting a sense of tranquility and zen. Visiting during the golden hour adds to the enchantment. Whether you're an art lover or seeking serenity, this place has something...

The Sudarshan Crafts Museum was established by Sri Sudarshan Sahoo to create a location where artists and art lovers can see the evolution of modern craftsmanship. The museum displays the change that has taken place in traditional sculptures over the decades. The museum has facilities for artists as well, giving them an opportunity to ply their craft in the workroom, and have a showroom to display it. Along with some of his contemporary artists and assistants he started the center in the year 1977 which was a new and unique concept at that time. This center in the past has developed many sculptures from non-traditional families which helped the conservative artistic society to do better work. Side by side, training, residential facilities, a Buddhist temple in Japanese style, library, showroom and workshop were added to facilitate the visitors and artists. For a long time it is exporting the handicrafts to foreign countries and has been recognized by the Government. Art lovers and visitors from all over the world have appreciated...

At a distance of 2 km from Puri Junction, Sudarshan Craft Museum is located at station road in Puri. It is one of the best places to visit in Puri for art lovers.

The Sudarshan Craft Museum was started in the year 1977 by Shri Sudarhsan Sahoo. The museum exhibits great collection of artistic works done by Sudarshan Sahoo like carvings in wood, stone and fiber glass, handicraft items and also fine paintings. Within the premises of museum, one can witness a Buddhist temple built in a Japanese style, a library and a workshop.

Amazing, underrated place. Must visit especially for all art/craft lovers, which should typically be EVERYONE! The craft is remarkable. Here, along with the craftsmen, we met witj Mr Sarat Chandra, a disciple of Shri Sahoo ji, very eloquently explained to us about the art and the craft of this place. He was very warm towards us and respectful about the craft and discussed with us about the craft of Puri and of Sahoo ji. We enjoyed being here for about 45 mins, it was the golden hour, and felt like the perfect time to visit. Please note that they close during lunch timings, I think 12-3 pm they stay closed. Be sure to keep that in mind when you visit! The Buddhist temple here also offers you a peaceful place to adore the beauty around you, especially since it's at a raised platform, you get to see the areas around from a higher position and perspective. Felt very zen here, as it should feel at a temple, I think.

Established after Completing the decoration of Atami Stupa in Japan Shri Sudarshan Sahoo come back to Puri and established the Sudarshan Crafts Museum in the year 1977 at Station Road, Puri, Odisha, a coastal town in Eastern India. A Buddhist temple in Japanese style, library, showroom and workshop were added to facilitate the visitors and artists. For a long time it is exporting the handicrafts to foreign countries and has been recognized by the Government Nice place to visit when you are in the puri with your friends and family along with the all other temples. In this covid situation they are maintaining the hygiene very well. You can step up to the nive looking temple to take pictures but cannot go inside.
