Hotel Pleasant Haveli stands as a distinguished lodging option in Jaisalmer, boasting an ornate facade complemented by attractive interiors. The establishment radiates charm, adorned with well-preserved antique pieces throughout its premises. Guests can expect a swift check-in process and immaculate rooms. It is important to note that access to the rooms and restaurant is exclusively via staircase, but the attentive hotel staff are readily available to assist with luggage transportation to your room.
The room was well-appointed with an air conditioner, heater, refrigerator, and a kettle accompanied by coffee and tea sachets. The bed provided comfort, and the room’s cleanliness and maintenance were of a high standard. The bathroom was tidy, featuring a separate shower cubicle and a 24-hour supply of hot water. A small suggestion for improvement would be to provide liquid handwash at the washbasin to enhance hygiene.
A standout feature of the hotel is the rooftop restaurant, which offers panoramic views of the Jaisalmer Fort and the cityscape. The food, prepared fresh upon order, was delightful across all meals—lunch, dinner, and the included breakfast, with each dish proving to be very satisfying.
I extend my special gratitude to Eshwar, whose exceptional assistance and unwavering politeness greatly contributed to the comfort of our stay. His ever-present smile was much appreciated.
In the evenings, the rooftop restaurant transforms into a mesmerizing spot, showcasing the illuminated fort and the vibrant city below. This hotel has surpassed our expectations and merits a five-star rating in every category. It comes highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Pleasant Haveli and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Throughout our stay, all the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. We had to extend our stay because my boyfriend was ill, and we were given a more comfortable and spacious room to stay in and one of the staff members (Prem) took us to the doctors and pharmacy on two separate occasions. Another staff member (Lucky) showed us around the ancient streets of Jaipur and we shared chai with him at his favourite place. The receptionist Dilip was so friendly and made it clear from the start that if we wanted anything at all we were to ask. The staff described us as their family, and it really felt like that! We had a late bus the day we returned from the safari and they have a room dedicated to showering/keeping all your belongings and relaxing, which was great. The wifi is good. The beds are super comfortable, and the bathrooms are spacious. Everything was super clean. The location is also excellent, 10 minute walk to the fort and even closer walk to some restaurants and shops.
It was super easy to organise the camel safari and desert trip with them, and that was a brilliant experience and was good value for money (2750 rupees per person for everything) The two guides on that were great.
10/10 place - would 100% recommend you stay here...
Read moreWow, this place is a gem in India. If you are missing long, hot showers, many fluffy pillows, amenities in your room, and serious hospitality, then this is your place. The place is pricier than some of the budget places you can get in Jaisalmer, but still much less than the other "nice" hotels here. And beyond worth it.
We checked in on a day I was feeling unwell, and I literally did not leave this room until check out. We were even granted an extra hour late check out on a day I know they are sold out. They have offered to keep our bags overnight as we go on a camel tour. Not sure what else they can do to help, they are so nice here!
The room itself is absolutely gorgeous, with wood ceiling and stone walls. There is a strong ceiling fan, AC, refrigerator, tons of water, like six pillows, coffee maker, fluffy duvet, modern bathroom, mood lighting, I could live here forever. The rooftop restaurant is fabulous.
The only possible con is that we enjoyed staying inside the fort, and this is a short walk to it. But it's fun going through the town, and you are next to a few other cool places, like Wanderlust rooftop. The view of the fort lit up at night is better than the other way around,...
