During my recent trip to Mehandipur Balaji Temple, I had a stop at Hotel Rallentino on Station Road in Kota, Rajasthan. My experience was a blend of positives and negatives.

Room for Improvement:

Soiled linen and pests in the room were unpleasant surprises. Restroom amenities were average with below average quality of soap / shampoo. Overall cleanliness.

Redeeming Features:

The rooftop restaurant offered breathtaking views of Kota's skyline and served flavorful dishes. The bar area, though dimly lit, had a cozy ambiance. Friendly staff were eager to assist.

Neutral Points:

Convenient location on Station Road. Room size and layout were decent.

Suggestions for Enhancement:

Prioritize room cleanliness and hygiene. Upgrade restroom amenities. Expand bar menu and improve food consistency. Provide sachets of Tea / Coffee / Sugar

Traveler's Verdict:

Hotel Rallentino has potential but falls short on essential aspects. While it's not exceptional, it's not entirely disappointing either. Travelers seeking a no-frills stay might find it acceptable.

Recommendation:

If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with some charm, Hotel Rallentino might suffice.

Rallentino Hotel, Kota: A Nightmarish Abyss of Unprofessionalism, Deprivation, and Customer Disregard – A Stay We Wouldn't Wish on Our Worst Enemy

Our stay at Rallentino Hotel in Kota was an absolute disaster. The staff displayed an appalling level of unprofessionalism and rudeness, making our experience unbearable from the start. The room was devoid of even the most basic amenities—no toiletries, no hot water, and an absence of in-room comforts like tea or coffee. Despite charging a hefty 6500 for a two-night stay, the hotel failed to provide morning tea, forcing us to seek it elsewhere. The breakfast fiasco was a comedy of errors, with the kitchen conveniently closing at 10 AM on the first day and the chef mysteriously absent on the second, leading to a denial of breakfast both times. The staff's nonchalant attitude towards our complaints and requests highlighted a shocking lack of customer service. Extremely poor service. we relied on the ratings and checked it all over - google, goibibo, makemytrip etc and rating was decent. we actually went and checked the rooms and nothing looked bad at first glance apart from the wild bats flying the reception area. Thought it could be cos of the weather and all. Now, the room is checked-in and paid for. Then realized, there are loose connections on the ceiling, bathroom door is not getting locked properly, wifi was not working (even though we had paid for it as it was mentioned on their website), bed and linen were dirty. we had to constantly call the house-keeping (btw they won't show up before 30-45 mins of your call, actually after your second call only they will come).
