TL;DR: Excellent food ordered on the train, well-cooked and delicious, worth the price. However, service issues encountered with an order mix-up and delayed refund, which was frustrating. Still recommended for those passing through Kota Junction, but caution advised to double-check orders in advance.
Food: This has by far been my best Food ordered on Train. The meals are cooked perfectly, packed well, and always fresh. They even give you wet wipes. And I have to say, the food is really delicious!
Price: It's definitely worth the money you pay.
Service: But there's one thing they need to work on – their service. Let me explain. I ordered two small vegetarian meals (called thalis) through IRCTC while I was on the train. But when the train stopped at Kota Junction Railway station, I got only one meal. I called the restaurant, and the person in charge said I had only paid for one meal, which was not true. I had to insist that he double-check. Finally, he realized there was a problem with the IRCTC website, and it hadn't shown the correct order initially. But now, he could see that I had actually ordered and paid for two meals. Unfortunately, by the time he figured this out, the train had already left Kota Junction.
I asked for a refund, and they agreed, but they didn't send it for the next nine days. On the tenth day, I had to follow up, and after talking to a different manager, they gave me my money back. The manager also said sorry for the trouble. But honestly, I wasn't happy with the service.
Here's the thing – when people order food on a train, they do it because they want better food than what the train offers. So, they need to be really careful with these orders because there's no room for mistakes. If they mess up, the person who ordered the food goes hungry or has to eat something they didn't want. And getting a refund isn't a great solution when you're on a train.
Anyway, I have to admit that this place is a good choice if you're passing through Kota Junction. My advice to other passengers would be to call them in advance and double-check your order to avoid these kinds...

They commited us many things but not even fullfilled 10% of it.. Service is very slow.. Lack of manpower.. Not provided food according to our booking . Instead of aam pana, they gave us jaljira water.. roti without butter..tomato soup was decided in menu but was not served to single guest.. Harabhara kabab were not properly fried.. many more complains are there.. All I can say is that it was the worst experience .. they spoiled my son's bday party.. Guests were waiting for food to be served for long time,hence we were feeling insulted in front of our guests...
I will suggest all of you not to do any program or function in this hotel..
Before booking we thought that it was new hotel , they will provide us better service.. bt all happened was totally opposite .. They spoiled our party...
Read morePathetic experience today 14feb 2019, Don't go on holidays and weekends and special occasions as they failed to manage on crowded days. we came at 9:30pm and they served food at 10:30 pm (we asked them how much time it will take they say just 5 mins) poor management this time and taste of is also not up to the mark as it were before it looks like they prepared in hurry. All staff are puzzled have no clue at all about customers . We also demand complain book but nobody give us .Really bad experience they spoiled Valentine day. Unexpected from them. We will never visit this restaurant again . Concern authority should pay attention...
