Jamna Vilas Guest House and Restaurant — Hotel in Rajasthan

I was choosing Jamna Vilas Guest House on purpose. Main reasons were price and location. I'm traveling on a budget and the location is just perfect to discover Bikaner and still be close to train stations and bus stops. Old town and Junagarh Fort are in walking distance which is a big plus. ||||Going to Karni Mata (the rat) temple was very easy and the owner Rinku gave advise to just go for local bus instead of booking tour or taxi. Price for one way was just 35 rps. from Ambedkar Circle Bus Stop. Besides that he gave good recommendation for tuktuk prices and onward travelling without trying to sell tours as I read in other reviews.||||The guest house itself is operated by the family and after getting to know each other there was a nice atmosphere and everybody was caring a lot. ||||The rooftop restaurant has a nice view and the prices are fair, quality is good. ||||The rooms are spacious, towels and toilet paper are provided as well. if not in the room just ask... regarding noise ... actually the guest house is situated perfectly - away from the busy streets which is a big plus and on the other hand, yes train station is near but you will hear the trains also in 2 km distance so that's no issue at all ||||For me it was a nice stay in Bikaner and even after check-out I was able to leave my luggage until my train was leaving late at night. ||||Thanks to Rinku and...

The guest house charged 700/- per day for 4 days for a non A.C room with cooler and considering the room it was good deal. It was having all the basic amenities and the hotel was also very clean and organized. It had Wifi services with free water bottles though they are refilled but the quality of water was decent.

The only disadvantage is the location and the rooms are not ventilated properly. There is not a single ray of sunlight coming into the room so you will feel night in daytime also and you have to keep the lights on always.You can feel a lil bit suffocated as the hotel is in a narrow street not on the main road.

So if you are planning for a vacation or family trip dont go for this but if you are visiting there for any other reason like exams just like me then you may try it.

Located 300-400m walking distance from railway station

One of the best hotel located near Bikaner junction as there are few good hotels near it

Located inside the residential area so not visible from station or easily reachable

Gate is too small and small narrow street passes from that gate to the hotel which is not easy to find

Rooms rate are genuine and reasonable

Acs starts from INR 1200 and non Ac From 800 (in summer non Acs rooms are not feasible as u cannot rest inside hotel without ac as it is too hot in summer)

Lift not present in hotel so have to climb stairs

AC was working fine and chilling the room

Food service is also present inside the hotel

U will be provided free cold water as per ur need mineral...
