Terrible and pathetic hotel.
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Hotel the Glory, which I booked through the Agoda app. After a long 7+ hour journey, my companions and I arrived at the hotel, only to be met with a series of unfortunate events.
Upon reaching the reception, we informed them that we had a valid booking. We had secured rooms at a lower rate on the app than the hotel's listed prices. To our disbelief, the hotel staff denied our check-in and insisted that they had not received any payment or confirmation, even though they had. It became evident that they were trying to hide this fact.
Their suggested solution was baffling. Instead of addressing the issue themselves, they asked us to contact the app's management team. We reluctantly complied and reached out to the app's support. To our surprise, they confirmed that the payment had indeed been processed.
To add to the frustration, the hotel management claimed to have contacted Hotel the Glory, but the hotel staff refused to acknowledge their calls and feigned ignorance. The entire ordeal was marked by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the hotel staff, who showed a complete lack of empathy.
To make matters worse, the hotel staff demanded that if we wanted to stay in the hotel, we'd have to pay extra to make up for the rest of the price of the rooms. This clearly indicated that they had received both payment and confirmation of our booking.
After wasting over an hour and a half at the hotel, we were left with no choice but to leave. Thankfully, the app's management team promptly provided a refund for our reservation.
In conclusion, Hotel the Glory provided an abysmal experience. Their staff was uncooperative, rude, and seemed to have no regard for customer satisfaction. I strongly advise against booking a stay at this hotel, as my experience left me thoroughly disappointed...
Read moreMy self Mahesh age 45 and my mother 79 years old was on a pilgrimage trip for Haridwar and Rishikesh. Around 6.39 pm my driver age 32 got cardiac arrest while driving my car. We were returning from Resort at Rishikesh and immediately I found my driver to get collapsed because of Minor cardiac arrest. Immediately I googled nearest hospital and found Aims Rishikesh around 6 kms from our location. Immediately I took staring on my hand and asked driver to sleep at back seat. We rushed to Emergency hospital and started the treatment. After 2 hours my mother who is having issues of frequent urination asked me to take her to washroom. But all washrooms were very unhygienic and dirty. So I searched nearest hotel close to AIMS hospital Rishikesh. And I found hotel The glory with good rating. I immediately rush to hotel and narrated my medical emergency. They immediately asked that only 2 rooms are there and we will charge Rs 2500 plus GST. Initially I agree and submitted my and mother ID details at reception. Pathetic services
Families should never consider coming here—even by mistake."
"I had made an online booking here and took my mother along. She was sitting in the car while I went in. The staff looked at me with suspicion and said that both IDs would be required (as if the hotel is meant only for couples, especially teenagers). I pointed toward my mother, and he said, 'No problem, just submit it a little later,' though he never actually asked for the ID again.
The check-in process took a long time. No staff came to show us the room or help with the luggage. The lift took around 5 minutes and made strange noises—it didn’t feel safe.
When we reached the room, there was no drinking water, no towel, no bucket, no mug—nothing. The menu placed in the room was soaked in oil. There was a strange smell in the room. We were charged ₹80 just for asking for two bottles of water.
I would only recommend this hotel to people looking for short-term romance or alcohol...
