Our stay at Bay Walk, Port Blair, was booked via our tour operator Experience Andamans since they have a tie-up. Almost all the rooms of this hotel are booked by this tour operator and you'll hardly find any rooms to book by yourself online. While the location of this hotel is a plus (being close to the seaside), the sewerage that passes right outside the hotel is off putting. As per our itinerary we were to spend our first 3 nights here at Port Blair, one night at Havelock, and the last night here again before catching our flight back home the next day. However on returning from our Ferry to the Hotel, we were told that the rooms are full and that we were being shifted to another hotel. Apparently the hotel was overbooked and we were conveniently bounced off. We were tired from a day of beach activities and a nausea-inducing Ferry, and we knew that arguing was going to be pointless, so we were forced to move to this other Hotel, somewhere in the middle of Port Blair, which was not really comparable to Bay Walk. Now when I ask the tour operator about this, they say it's the fault of the Hotel since they overbooked, the Hotel themselves don't seem to really care who stays as long as their occupancy is filled. So I would suggest to everyone to be careful while booking this hotel, preferably do it yourselves and ask for confirmation receipts if possible, or avoid booking it if you can find more reliable options. The rooms themselves are not that great, some of the rooms are really small and there is no space to even keep a suitcase. There is absolutely no view from the rooms either (Premium ones - don't know about other rooms), they just open onto other buildings and sewerage. The staff were very helpful though, most people at Andaman...

We just finished our vacation one week ago with fresh memories of Andaman. Landed at Baywalk on 2nd of October, then checked out on 3rd. Again rechecked in on the 6th and checked out on 9th of October. They hold a policy of full payment of room rent at checkin and not at checkout, even after you have booked it with 50% advance payment. I had booked F1, which was a twin room. The closet had no SS rod to hang clothes. The shower was not functioning. Two beds but one plastic hanger to hang clothes. Bathroom had no rods either to hang your clothes. And, this was supposed to be a premium room. I am sorry, Baywalk is not on the bay. Room service is very poor.I did the errands of getting drinking water myself due to prolonged delays. The front desk was not even apologetic for that. Please avoid their packed breakfast as they would not toast the bread even on your request. They are completely immune to your suggestions or request. They failed me on two occasions. The good part is it's close proximity to Aberdeen market , RKS mission and Marina park. The restaurant is very good. The food quality and taste is satisfying. Do try the Tomato soup. Service is quick and satisfactory. Breakfast is good enough., with changes in menu ever day. The best part is Housekeeping. They are spot on. In short, I would give Baywalk some time to ramp up things a little as this is a new property, thus short on experience. With time they...

I stayed at this hotel as it was arranged by my tour operator. You will find a provision shop just opposite of the hotel, where you can get fruits and water. First impressions, I wasn't offered a welcome drink of orange juice, but another family was offered one. Service could have been more attentive. Next, the receptionist was horribly confused about the breakfast timing. When asked on two different occasions, the timings given were different. Next, the property only has Wi-Fi available in the lobby but this was not working the day I was there. The room is decently furnished. On the table, there's a kettle along with a pitcher of water. There was also an unpackaged tea bag which made me wonder if the tea had already been oxidised. The bed's mattress was pretty firm and made for a good night's rest. One thing I didn't enjoy was the phone calls from the reception. When checking in, it was already made known what time the last order is for dinner. Two phone calls were made in a span of half an hour asking if any orders needed to be made as the kitchen was closing. However, I do want to acknowledge the staff's efforts to prepare a breakfast box as I had to check out early and had to miss the breakfast in the hotel.

We were here for just a day this week. The staff is courteous and thoughtful. A lot of positives things to say about the people who work here. The rooms were well kept and it’s great value for money. We asked to sit in the roof top cafe late in the night. They accommodated that easily as there were no other guests. Didn’t brush us away due to “rules” which is what I would expect anywhere else. Love their flexibility. During breakfast,I was not happy with my coffee. I didn’t say anything. But the person who was serving us food noticed I didn’t have my coffee, asked me what’s wrong and replaced it with exactly what I wanted. That was the nicest gesture and made my day cos coffee is so important for me. Lastly, we’d given the key back but our pick up was late my an hour. So we asked to stay for an extra hour. They were kind enough to let us stay in the room for a little longer with no fuss whatsoever. All in all, a big thumbs up to this place :)

One of my friend recommended me to have a booking in bay walk. As he already stayed over . He actually told me 3 , 4 things about the bay walk. 1- My personal Best ever roof top resort. 2- Room are actually huge in size. With all modern amenities. Morden a/c ,huge LED TV, very comfortable bed and so on. . 3- walkable sea shore 4. Food is also good. 5- It's actually 2 to 3 kms from the main busstand and 4kms from city airport. And within 1 kms you can see Cellular Jail , Water Sports Complex , Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium, Marina Park , Flag point ,and many more places . 6- Staff are pretty decent as well dressed and no complaint about cleanness.
