Marina Park in Andaman Islands The most beautiful aspect of Marina Park is that it is located at seashore. So you can enjoy both the scenic view of ocean with waves washing your feet and also the enjoyments in the park. There are lot of children play instruments are installed in the park like swings, slides etc. A stall by the sea side walk lane in marina park is worth taking in the evening with all street lights lit up on both sides .Lot of hawkers will be there selling Jhalmoori,gol-gappa etc. Ross Island could be seen from here. There is no entrance fee for Marina Park. Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is a national park of India near Wandoor on the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The park was created on 24 May 1983 under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 to protect marine life such as the corals and nesting sea turtles prevalent in the area. It was placed under the protection of the Chief Wildlife Warden of the forest department of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and it is open creeks running through the park area were a special attraction. There are 2 major island groups in the park: the Labyrinth Islands and the Twin Islands The islands are situated 16 km (10 mi) south from Port Blair. The marine park covers 281.5 km² made up of 17 islands and the open sea creeks running through the area. There is a chance for ecotourism on the islands Jolly Buoy and Red Skin The islands belong to the Rutland Archipelago and are located between Rutland Island and South Andaman Island. Most of the coral reefs in the park are fringing reefs. The type and composition of vegetation vary from island to island. Most notably there you can see a difference between the tourist islands which suffer more anthropocentric change and others which do not. There are also some islands more isolated or protected from the effects of weather in the Bay of Bengal. Tarmugli, the largest island, is covered with thick mangrove vegetation, sand covered beaches, uprooted trees and rocks Twins are an important breeding ground for turtles within the park. The Children’s Traffic Park here is an impressive concept where the park is designed to replicate a real busy junction with traffic signals and roads. Small tricycles, baby motors and practice bicycles are available on hire for children to drive around in. The Marine Aquarium which is located nearby is maintained by the Fisheries Department is a small museum-cum-aquarium which showcases the marine life found in the island. For those looking for a seaside dining experience, Ocean Blue Restaurant, overlooking the sea, is a good place to spend a few hours. Owing to fast service, it also serves well if one just wants to grab a bite on the way to the jetty. The Water Sports Complex is a good place to try out water sports for beginners, and is one of the two water sports facilities in Port Blair. They offer an array of sporting activities conducted and supervised by trained professionals.Rides for other islands leave from Aberdeen Jetty here in Marina Park. If chalked out in advance, one can plan their travel smartly by clubbing one’s visit to Marina Park with a visit to these nearby locations.

A prime attraction located on the unspoiled shores of Port Blair, the Marina Park and Aquarium is a beautiful little establishment aimed at educating the masses about the marine ecosystem. The aquarium contains impressive displays of the endemic marine organisms and marine habitats. Outside this, lies a well laid park that contains many amusement facilities for children and makes for a very nice picnic spot. This place is located near Netaji stadium, Port Blair. This is a very good park with good beach views. In marina Park we have water sports. This park is also known as water sports complex. Here we have Wi-Fi connectivity by BSNL. New user get approx 100 mb free data, for further WiFi access we have to pay money. The thing is that the WiFi recharge plans are very cheap. For example 30 GB data is only on 69 Rs ( year 2020). Here we have one small ship port from which you can go to Ross Island, one of the historical place in Andaman and nicobar islands. For tourist, this is very good place to spend your valuable time. For food, here we have more than 1 restaurants in its campus only. I want to tell that this place is near cellular jail (Another historical place). You can go to cellular jail by walking. You have to walk for only 2 to 3 minutes. Here we have lots of trees and flower plants which look very beautiful in early morning and evening. This park also have parking place. You have to pay some money but believe me it is very less in amount. Here we have bus stop also. Overall this place is very good.

Marina Park in Port Blair, Andaman, offers a tranquil yet vibrant experience for visitors. Located along the serene coastline, this picturesque park provides an excellent vantage point for enjoying beautiful views of the clear, turquoise waters. The park is particularly known for its wide promenade, where you can relax and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze while taking in panoramic views of boats and ships dotting the harbor. One of the standout features of Marina Park is its accessibility to local shopping. The nearby area is filled with quaint stalls and shops selling local handicrafts, souvenirs, and Andaman-specific items such as shell jewelry, wooden carvings, and coconut-based products. It’s a great spot for tourists to pick up unique keepsakes while supporting local artisans. The waters around the park are strikingly clear, making it an ideal location for a peaceful walk along the waterfront or to sit and enjoy the view. The park also has an outdoor space where families and visitors can unwind in the shade of trees or explore the scenic surroundings. Overall, Marina Park combines natural beauty, local culture, and leisurely activities, making it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Port Blair. Whether you’re looking to shop, enjoy the view, or simply relax by the water, this park offers a charming blend of all.

Marina Park Experience.

Marina Park is a popular tourist destination located in Port Blair, the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. Here's an experience you could have at Marina Park:

As you enter Marina Park, you're immediately struck by the lush greenery and the beautiful view of the sea. You see families strolling along the walkways, children playing on the lawns, and couples taking romantic walks by the sea. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks is soothing and the salty sea breeze fills your senses.

You start exploring the various attractions within the park, starting with the artificial waterfall, which is a popular spot for taking photographs. The waterfall is surrounded by benches and picnic tables, where families can sit and enjoy a snack or lunch.

Next, you head to the children's park, which is filled with swings, slides, and other play equipment. You see children laughing and playing, their excitement infectious. You take a moment to watch them, remembering your own childhood.

As you walk further, you come across the Japanese Bunkers, which were used during World War II. These bunkers have been preserved as a part of the park's history and are now a popular attraction for visitors. You climb up the stairs and peer inside, imagining what it must have been like to live in these cramped spaces during the war.

Finally, you reach the amphitheater, which is used for cultural performances and events. You see a group of dancers rehearsing for an upcoming show and you sit down to watch. The music is lively and the dancers are talented, and you're swept away by the energy and beauty of their performance.

As the sun starts to set, you make your way back to the entrance of the park, feeling refreshed and invigorated by your experience. You make a mental note to come back to Marina Park during your next visit...
