Sea Hills Hotel was the high point of our trip to the Andamans. We have been to many places and stayed in many hotels, both within and outside India - but we will remember Sea Hills as one of the top most hotel experiences that we have had. And the biggest contributor to that experience is their staff. In each and every department, they score a resounding 10 on 10.
Location: Located in the Shadipur area of Port Blair, it is on the same side of town as the important tourist points like Cellular Jail, Marina Bay, Flag Hoisting Point, and a short drive away from Corbyn's Cove. The hotel's restaurant and the bar area provide a marvellous view of the sky and the sea. Port Blair is actually a hilly town, and if you are traveling with kids and/or elderly folk, you may need to book a car for local sightseeing. The hotel reception help out with that, if needed.
Reception: The reception that we received at the hotel was extremely courteous - the reception lounge was quite comfortable even in the hot sun. We were given welcome drinks that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Service: The service levels of this hotel are simply outstanding and it is the staff which gives this hotel a definite edge over its competitors. And this is across board. There is not a single department in Sea Hills, where we found the staff or service lacking. Courteous, well-trained, prompt, efficient and multi-lingual. As a result, all our requests got handled promptly and efficiently by the staff. For example, our fridge was initially not switching on. With a single phone call, Mr. Tanmay from maintenance came. Realizing that it would take more than 5 mins, he replaced the fridge with a temporary one, so that we are not inconvenienced. And he fixed the original one withi a matter of thirty minutes or so. Mr. Shiva from Housekeeping would promptly appear at the door, addressing all our requests around towels, laundry, milk that had to be heated - you name it and it was done!

Simply put - this place is hospitality at its highest levels. From a service point of view, the staff of Sea Hills can give even the 5 star hotels of this country stiff competition.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Sea Hills Hotel for any stay in Port Blair. A complete value-for-money and perfect experience. I, personally, look forward to staying here, next time I plan to visit...
Read moreIt was not a pleasant experience. Firstly, we booked the hotel with agoda 1.5 months prior to the visit, the day we reached the hotel, they told we have cancelled your booking due to price negotiation with agoda and they were getting lesser price for the room. We had to reach customer care discuss the issue for 2 hours with them and then finally they accepted the booking. This was a very bad experience in terms of customer satisfaction and reliability for booking this hotel online from any website.
Also housekeeping service is not good. They don't clean the rooms properly and reception never attends requests timely. They will only provide you hot water in bathroom in the morning but this is not a expectation from a hotel. They had charged extra for bath tub rooms, but have not provided the basic bath tub essentials. Worst hotel experience in my travels so far considering the huge cost. All they are concerned about is when you are coming for breakfast because they are not providing buffet, will serve dishes as you ask and major problem is they have kitchen in basement and restaurant on 3rd floor and the service lift is not working, so the dishes would get cold while they are serving. They kept calling multiple times for breakfast, but won't even fulfill your basic amenities requirement. The food was only okay, will recommend to go outside for some cafes for better quality at lesser price you can get much better food options in Port Blair. Also, location wise the hotel is slightly remote, will not get autos or cabs easily. Our stay here was for 2 days, but they gave us tv access only for 1 day. The keycard also stopped working the second day. We had to go and request access on the keycard again at the reception. The only good thing was restaurant staff is nice and will be...
Read moreWe were a group of 10 adults and had booked four rooms at Sea Hill Resort, Havelock from 26-28 Dec 2023. The rooms provided to us on various floors and the hotel doesnt have a lift. So our friend (who has breathing issues) had a tough time climbing the stairs to get to her room on the 4th floor on day 1.Then the staff alloted one ground floor room the next day which was a huge relief. The rooms are quite fine and can easily accomadate 3 adults. This is a fairly new hotel so it is clean but certain maintainence issues was experienced.Toilet flush wasn't working in one of our rooms. Hotel has good location-Proximity to beaches and main shopping area is good. The hotel is situated on top of a hill slope making the entry to the hotel a steep climb. The restaurant had very limited food options. The buffet breakfast was quite decent. I would like to mention that one of the days, we went for the Bioluminescence kayaking at 4am and got back to the hotel around 10.30am but Avinash from the restaurant was kind enough to ensure our breakfast was kept aside for us.He delivered the food to our room ( since it was after breakfast timing) and ensured it was hot and adequate for all of us to eat. We totally appreciate him giving such good service, it was much more than we had expected. All in all I would recommend Sea Hills Resort Havelock for families/adults who can climb...
