HOTEL RAMESH IYER — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

My review is for the food and not for the room stay, this is our favorite hotel and we do have food here only whenever we visit Tiruchendur, Breakfast and Dinner is very good items like dosas, idly, poori, pongal, medu vada, fried rice, chilli parotta, are too good, their accompaniments chutneys, sambar, kurma for tiffin items are too good when compared to many other restaurants located nearby, they have option of dining in a Air conditioned hall as well for which you need to pay little extra, the water they provide for drinking is also very pure for drinking, hot water is also served on request, Rava dosa and Vada curry is also great, staffs everyone are good, deliver a great service, the finishing touch is their rich and fresh Filter coffee, which really gives you a kick on drinking after a heavy meal, highly recommended for families and individual to have food in this holy place...

A great name for them here in Thiruchendur. We have been to their restaurant more than once. They never compromised on the food , the taste or the portions and of course the price. They are the best . Food tastes how it should be. Rice properly cooked, vegetables how they should be, tiffin items are worth mentioning. Even in Chennai they don’t taste anything like here. I wonder why!! Ghee roast absolutely awesome. So are the other items. Poori/ Idiappam/ Pongal were at the top.. for the huge crowd they see everyday .. I wonder how they manage in peak season.. They have a parking too but it’s too full always. The lane is small and can’t park in the streets. Very near to temple. They have boarding options too..Would recommend anyone to take a plunge into their...

We visited the Murugan shrine yesterday, and stayed at Ramesh Iyer as it is one of the lodges (not hotel) closer to the temple. The Air Conditioner in the room had a mind of its own and kept switching on and off every few seconds through the night - it almost looked as if the AC would explode. The hotel management was very reckless in letting the room out to us without checking, and did not take it seriously at all when we complained! For the kind of money they charge ₹2500-4000 (same as Residency in Thoothukudi), the quality of the room, appliances and service is horrible. Please avoid and stay at some other lodge nearby, there are plenty, especially for families. ||||P.s not able to upload the video, so posting a screenshot...
