Vistarah Homes Guduvancherry — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Very pathetic and irritating place.

I was going to SRM University for my kid admission and it was my first trip to Chennai. As I couldn't get many option to stay near SRM, I found this place on MMT and Yatra. Reading mixed reviews I selected this hotel and went to stay for one day with family. Here is my honest review that I faced while staying.

Hotel location : Near to SRM University. This is located at the back side of SRM. You need to reach SRM by Uber or ola that will take 15-20 mnts. It's around 3 kms.

About Hotel - This is not a hotel. Not even a home stay. This is basically a flat stay. This is a resedential apartment where the owner has booked few flats in different towers. You may be kept in different apartment based on availability. Each flat has two or three room that they will give to you. Kitchen and other places you can't use because there is nothing available to use those. So, this is not. Hotel or home stay but basically a flat stay.

Security - there are security in the area by building owners like the way you get in any resedential complex. It's safe from outside but I never felt very comfortable in the flat as the main gate remains open and people keep coming. You will never know who are what as there is no dress code. So who are visitors, who are servents, who are burgers that you will never know. It's all your guts to believe that all will remain good.

Rooms and Facility - Trust me, it's pathetic. I wonder who all have given 5 star ranking. They do not give water and even a glass in rooms. You have to bring your water from main road that is around 1 km far. Nothing you get without going 1 - 1.5 KM walk. AC was working in one room but in another room there was no cooling though AC was on. TV had no connection we complaint 3 times and stopped or adjusted as we have to stay for 1 day. Food is pathetic better you go out and eat there are many eateries available and again you have to go 1 KM. They have a kitchen and one flat with few chairs to server food. I was surprised that they gave us ice cream spoons to eat. When I asked to give a proper spoon, even I went to kitchen to take it rather waiting from these idiots. Surprised, they have No plates and spoons. When I ordered for Tea, they gave one in Cup and another in Glass :)

I have never seen such a pathetic place though I have stayed in multiple kinda hotels.

Uber and ola is available that you can hire.

Staff behavior- nothing worst you happen than the ignorant behavior of staff. They are always on Phone talking in Tamil. They mother understand English not hindi. So you are from North, you have to express and act to make them understand that they will do or not is totally on your luck.

Bathroom, it was average like government washroom without shower.

Trust me, I couldn't understand, why people stay here and give so high ranking to this pathetic place. I understand, folks go for SRM and they book it. But, better you stay in Chennai rather getting irritated whole time for even a basic manner and availabilities.

I don't know what other feels here. This is my personal experience and I would never ever suggest anyone to go to this idiots who are making...

Vistarah homes was located inside hotel estancia which is in Guduvanjery near SRM University. Infrastructure was really excellent there were about approximately 20 floors. The rooms were really excellent there is a hall , kitchen which connects 3 rooms. Which was excellent and good idea Inside the room everything was excellent

One issue was TV doesn't works , it says please recharge to continue the service. But it may not be an issue..
