This Hotel Vijayarani is a good Hotel. The Hotel staff is very good and polite. I mean when it comes to rooms, reception area alone not the restaurant part.
But the concern here is with the Restaurant staff. The waiter who gave me the menu and charged extra in the bill. When I asked about it another staff says the menu card is an old one. "If it's an old one why are you using it? Or why is not the staff telling the customers that it's old menu card ,the new menu has little price difference. It's as simple." I said.
Failing to communicate properly to customers is like cheating people who are visiting the restaurant. Mistakes may happen, but after that atleast the waiter should have been trained to accept his mistake and take it forward. He twists and turns it and tries to put the blame on customer as if I was purposefully making things up.
A Waiter should know his limits,he should be trained to please customers, not to irritate them. Waiter proffession is chosen by those who can't work hard and who don't qualify to get any other job.
I request the management to take a note of this and correct such stupid waiters who don't know how to speak to customers. No wonder why the Restaurant of Vijayarani is always empty. Now I made a perception on this restaurant. Hotel staff are extremely good but restaurant staff are horrible and disrespectful. They think customers are fools to who come to eat in theit restaurants.

Read moreI stayed here with my mom for 2 nights. The first night was fine, but the second night was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had.
We found a RAT in our room. It had chewed through tea, coffee, and sugar sachets and even left droppings in the bathroom (photos attached). I reported it to the front desk, and they offered to move us to another room on the same floor. It was already 11 PM, and although we were extremely tired, we decided to move rooms. Trying to find a different hotel at that hour just wasn’t realistic.
To make things worse, the power went off multiple times between 1 AM and 4 AM, which meant no AC and no rest. I called the front desk, and at first, they told me there was no issue. Only after I pushed back did they say it was probably a grid problem. I even have a video showing one of the outages.
I asked the staff the next day if they'd offer any compensation due to the issues I had during my stay, they said they couldn't provide any. Only after I pushed back again did they say they’d get back to me, but no one ever did.
I had read good reviews before booking, so I really didn’t expect this.
Overall, extremely disappointing and not what you’d expect from a place with good ratings. Between the rodents, the power issues, and the lack of accountability, I would not recommend...
Read moreThe Hotel and experienced their Standard Room, Junior Suite, and Family Room. The Standard Room, though a bit small, was immaculate and featured a comfortable queen-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and a well-stocked mini-bar. The room had a chic, modern design and a view of the city that was pleasant. However, the bathroom was compact, and the noise from the hallway was occasionally noticeable. The Junior Suite was a significant upgrade, offering ample space with a separate living area and a plush king-sized bed. The bathroom was luxurious, complete with a walk-in shower and high-end toiletries. The suite also included a coffee maker, which was a nice touch, though the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times. Lastly, the Family Room was perfect for a family stay, with a spacious layout that included a queen bed and bunk beds for kids. The room was equipped with kid-friendly amenities such as a small play area, a game console, and child-sized furniture. The bathroom, although functional, could have been larger to accommodate family needs. Despite some minor issues, the overall experience at Riverside Grand Hotel was very satisfying. The rooms were well-maintained, comfortable, and offered a range of amenities suitable for different types...
