Iyappa swamy temple is one of the best temples at Tiruchirappalli district in Tamil Nadu. Calm and pleasant temple I had ever seen in my life. Duppatta(Towel like thing which women wear in front of them)is provided for women who doesn't have. ☆ Meditation hall (தியான மண்டபம்) is available. ☆ Small park is there which is named as Kalaam park for honouring a former President and great scientist Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalaam. ☆ Quotes and Writings around a temple will feed divine and general knowledge to people ☆ Separate toilets are available for both men and women. ☆ In order to spread a tamil literature among the young people, they are conducting competitions like saying thirukkural with meaning, Aathisudi with meaning etc... and winners will be rewarded. ☆ Blood donation camp will be conducted once in a month. ☆ Mobile phones are strictly Prohibited. ☆ Thulsi water are available in copper pot in temple premises. ☆ Also Thulsi leaves are available. This is the best temple I will say. So disciplined and neatly maintained. I used to visit frequently.Cell phones should be switched off before entering the temple. Traditional dresses alone are allowed. The way in which they insist will be so humble which will make us to oblige. The deity Ayyappan just look alike the same in Sabaripeedam. No artificial lighting. Just Nei deepams. It will be so pleasant to see Swami in the lighting. No dakshinas for priests. Land of silence. Nobody will even yarn. There is a Dyanamandapam nearby to meditate. Kannimoolai Ganapathy Nagaraja and Bhagavarhiamman are the other deities.Almost all the day there will be Navagraha homam. Morning pooja commences with Gopooja. In the night there will be Rathabavani. Uththiram is celebrated every month. On all Fridays there will be Annadhanam. Contributions are accepted by the office duly giving receipts. Yoga classes sloga classes also conducted. Free blood donation camp is conducted periodic ally.Contributions for the study of poor deserving students is also accepted. Medicines Glasses Books in good condition is accepted to hand over to the persons in need.
