Best Western Sagar Sona — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

WORST EXPERIENCE IN THE WORLD OF HOSPITALITY. I am taking out my own time to share my WORST experience from SAGAR SONA where the staff of hotel is fully UNPROFESSIONAL and lack of HOSPITALITY.

They should learn how to talk to a guest where i am paying to the property and i booked this hotel just because of the location is in GOMTI NAGAR LUCKNOW.

WHICH HOTEL OR PROPERTY IN THE WORLD SAYS THAT YOUR FAMILY OR YOUR WIFE CANNOT COME AND VISIT YOU IN HOTEL AFTER 8PM? AND WHERE A GUEST IS REQUIRED TO SHOW THEM A PROOF OF THEIR MARRIAGE IF THIER LAST NAME ARE NOT SAME(ID LAST NAME)??

Apart from that where my brother and sister in law is coming to meet me after the work AS PER THE FRONT DESK STAFF "PRINCE KUMAR" AND MANAGER "ZAFAR KHAN" AND SALES MANAGER "PRADEEP KUMAR".

The entire incident started where i was entering the property at 9:45pm IST with my wife and in laws.Front desk staff PRINCE Kumar (where i know kumar is not his real last name ) stopped me at reception and asked me a question in a sarcastic way "who are these people?" I understand that he is doing his job just to know for security purpose but i feel there is a proper polite way to talk. But forget that i told him thats my wife and my family who has come to visit me . He replied "AS PER THE HOTEL REGULATIONS THERE ARE NO VISITORS OR FRIENDS ALLOWED AFTER 8PM"??I TOLD HIM VERY NICELY THAT THATS MY FAMILY WHO HAS COME TO MEET ME AND THEY WILL LEAVE IN SOME TIME.

I believe if the property has these kind of regulations they should mention to #MAKEMYTRIP #GOIBIBO #BOOKING.COM and REST OF ALL THIRD PARTY BOOKING PLATFORMS.after requesting almost 30-45mins to PRINCE KUMAR about the family situation he said its not possible i told him to call the manager on duty .Coming to reception as a manager in a unethical outfit at night Mr.Zafar Khan "so called manager on duty", i explained him the entire situation where in the mean time i told my family to go and sit in the room.According to Mr.Zafar khan he is asking me as question that"What Kind of family will allow their daughters and son to go and visit someone in hotel at 11:30pm at night??

SOMEONE ARE YOU SERIOUS. Thats my wife and in laws HE SAID "I DONT KNOW WHO ARE THEY".EVEN AFTER I AM NOT HERE TO PROVE MYSELF I SHOWED HIM MY DOCUMENTS AND PICTURES OF FAMILY WHERE ALL THE MEMBERS ARE THERE.

I did all this because they came driving all the way to just me and have some family time together.LIKE WHAT KIND OF PERSON OR HIS MENTALITY ??? and I was totally done with this person..

According to Zafar Khan the MANAGER " In my culture we dont allow our family to go out after 9pm".

I dont understand from which ERA he is from where the world is growing so fast. He pointed on my family , my culture and many family values and more things where his SLEEP WAS DISTURBED AT THAT TIME.BECAUSE HIS SLEEP WAS DISTURBED AND THEN PRINCE KUMAR TOOK HIM INSIDE AND SAID SOMETHING IN PRIVATE AND MANY MORE DRAMA.

In the rules and regulation of property visit they havent mentioned anything on any platforms and after you reach BEST WESTERN SAGAR SONA they make your sign a form where in a small section its mentioned visitors not allowed after so so time.AFTER EVEN REQUESTING THEM FOR SO LONG,AFTER PAYING THE MONEY TO THEM THEY DIDNT UNDERSTOOOD THE SITUATION . I ASKED THEM TO SPEAK TO THE PROPERTY OWNER BUT THEY DONT HAVE A NUMBER BEING A MANAGER ON DUTY.and MR KHAN CALLED THE SECURITY AT RECEPTION LIKE WE ARE A CRIMINAL ASKING FOR MONEY OR ROBBING THEIR HOTEL.

IF I HAVE TIME TO DO SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE GONE TO CONSUMER COURT TO FILE COMPLAIN AGAINST THESE PEOPLE WHO IS POINTING GUEST ABOUT THEIR FAMILY AND CULTURE.

THEY CALL AT MY ROOM AND TOLD MY FAMILY TO LEAVE RIGHT AWAY. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAD I WILL NEVER FORGET MR.ZAFAR KHAN AND PRINCE KUMAR.I WAS HAVING NO OTHER OPTION THEN APOLOGIZING MY FAMILY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

BUT YES THE ROOM SERVICE STAFF THEN HOUSE KEEPING THEY ALL ARE VERY NICE AND KIND HEARTED. UNETHICAL RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL NO HOSPITALITY TOWARDS GUEST.

NEVER book BEST WESTERN...

So we booked this place for my marriage and we had the worst experience. 1)The hotel held their own conference and occupied the function hall at the same day of marriage without informing us.We came to know about this conference through our wedding decorator.All the problems started from here the hotel gave the function hall at 5:30 pm in the evening and the wedding decorator refused to gave us the decorated hall at 7:00 pm( the time of arrival of barat).No checks were done by the hotel staff regarding the stage decorations and the stage broke 3 times during the wedding ceremony.When we asked decortator about the poor stage quality they put the blame on us and hotel staff stating that they had less time for decoration as the marriage hall was booked for conference 2) These banquets have per plate system for fooding i.e after a fixed number of plates extra charges are levied.The manager assured us that he will inform about the extra plates but at around 2:30 am the hotel staff informed us about 53 extra plates( over the decided 200 plates) and asked us to pay 73000 rupees immediately.How come 253 plates when guests were less than 200?The manager never informed us about the extra plates.They took money immediately on the name of "night audit". 3) Dinner was not started by the hotel staff even at 10 pm and some guests left without having a dinner.Food quality was worst and no one was serving food to the guests. We held a few pre-wedding functions at this hotel & booked 2 floors of this hotel for 2 nights for our relatives. The rooms are big, spacious & very clean. Room Service is prompt. I would like to Specially Thank and applaud three people here who made our stay very comfortable & ensured thorough hospitality & services on our arrival – Special Thanks to Mr. Rajesh (GM), Mr. Dhiresh (Banquet & Event Coordinator) and Mr. Surendra Shakya (Chef). All of these three people were very helpful, kind & accommodating of our requirements. Being Outstation guests, we were very worried about how everything would go in Lucknow, but these three gentlemen ensured we had a smooth stay & all our functions at the hotel were superbly managed. Dhireshji was always available and really helped us plan and execute everything. He was always just a call or text away & responded to our queries & took care of whatever we required. Mr. Shakya understood our taste buds perfectly and served delicious meals to our guests everyday of our stay & at the functions. Everyone loved the hospitality and food at Sagar Sohna Hotel.
